Winslow: Smooth Bent Dublin with Bamboo (D)

Product Number: 002-036-1818

It wasn't until just recently that we began to receive these bamboo adorned briars from Poul Winslow, but they are consistently gorgeous pieces that demonstrate the Danish carver's immense talent and showcase his five decades of pipemaking experience. This bent Dublin departs slightly from his familiarly robust and rounded renditions as it's a noticeably jauntier, lengthier take on the classic shape featuring a firm, jutting heel spur. Following the well-defined transition, two knuckles of tan bamboo extend upward before ending in a gently downturned saddle stem. Beautifully finished in one of Poul's vibrant contrast stains, the bowl displays lively licks of flame grain, while a sea of swirling birdseye populates the gently rounded rim.
