Winslow: 50th Anniversary Partially Rusticated with Silver (082)

Product Number: 002-036-1828

Low-slung, serpentine, and sinuous, this Horn from Poul Winslow is quite a dynamic piece, which is fitting, as this briar is a piece meant to commemorate his 50th year of pipemaking. Poul started crafting pipes with Preben Holm in 1969 at the age of 17, and quickly rose through the ranks to be Preben Holm's head assistant. After leaving Preben Holm's factory in 1985, when the workshop closed down, Poul set out to create his own brand of Danish Freehands and classics, with this Horn falling into the former category. Showcasing a conflagration of flame grain paired to a craggy, midnight rustication and deftly topped with a broad band of sterling silver, anyone would be proud to have this piece on their rack.
