An organic straight Dublin design from Danish pipe maker Poul Winslow, this example displays a tall, nearly cylindrical bowl with a slight flare on its way to an undulating, gently inflated rim. A flattened heel amplifies the easy curvature of the graduated transition, and the shank furthers the affect by pinching in the middle before flaring slightly as it reaches the matching stem base. The visual weight stays up front, while a sleek acrylic saddle stem reaches back discretely to offer an inviting smoke. Poul has dressed the pipe in a smooth, bright auburn finish, the better to showcase brilliant cross grain, with mesmerizing fields of birdseye adorning both of the bowl's flanks.
