A wonderfully minimalist and traditional design, this straight Apple from Poul Winslow is well on the reserved side for the Danish carver. The bowl is affably rounded and plump, displaying a low-set waistline and a rim that slopes inward to the tobacco chamber. The transition is seamlessly smooth before leading to the cylindrical shank and the handsome acrylic saddle stem. Dressed in a dark, smoky walnut stain showing high contrast, the briar's natural grain is brilliantly illuminated, and the pipe is further elevated by an elegant silver band.
