Far more restrained than his typical Freehand fare, this straight Apple showcases Poul Winslow's Danish classical roots with a broad, powerful ball of a bowl set to a stout yet well-defined transition, leaving ample room to drape a thumb, while the walls of the bowl give it a great feel in hand. That minimalist shaping pairs beautifully with the more formal finish as well, Poul having lent the briar a glossy, fiery contrast stain with a broad accent of sterling silver.
