Winslow: Smooth Apple with Silver (E) Tobacco Pipe

This straight Apple from Poul has a plumpness and slight taper that are common among Danish Apples, making for a bowl that fills the hand and proffers no shortage of chamber. What stands out most on this piece, however, like many we see from Winslow, is its finish. Dressed in a handsome darker stain that shows off an impressive array of grain that the sterling silver band does well to complement. Finally, the tapered stem has a slightly smaller diameter than the end of the shank, lending a moment of visual texture to the silhouette. Another well crafted and stunning piece from Poul.
