Winslow: Rusticated Billiard with Silver (E) Tobacco Pipe

Here we have quite an oddity from Poul Winslow: a no-frills, Danish neoclassical straight Billiard, sans any sort of fluting or flourishing of line. The bowl itself bears a lot of the visual weight, featuring a nearly Stack-like height of bowl in hand. The transition is comparatively quite neat and well-defined, leading seamlessly in to the clean lines of the rounded shank. It's presented here in a ruby stain and finished in a striated rustication — topped with a smart sterling silver band and sleek acrylic stem. - Andrew Wike
