This bent Apple from Danish pipe maker Poul Winslow speaks to his more than 50 years of carving experience, featuring a softly rounded, tapering, and forward-urging bowl. Maintaining the plumpness associated with the shape, it's then paired to a gently arcing shank-and-stem arrangement, the latter stylishly adorned with a domed accent at the base. A comfortable fit in hand, this piece is wearing one of Poul's extra-dark rustications, with a lightly stained rim and trim band of briar by the shank end adding flourishing contrast.
