This Freehand from Poul Winslow is a rather striking design, displaying a wide, squat bowl at the fore of a subtly bent shank-and-stem arrangement. The bowl is dressed in a fetching carved finish that produces firm ridgelines and fluting channels across the stummel's surface. Craggy plateau along the rim further accentuates this piece's organic appearance, while a ruddy stain makes quite a showing out of the briar's natural grain patterns.
