Wojtek Pastuch: Sandblasted Groot Sitter Tobacco Pipe

While this pipe might remind some of a particular comic book-based character, my first impression was one of the sheer organicism of the piece. The level of balance required for such a design is easy to appreciate — it sits sturdily on its small foot, positioned at the end of a lengthy, wavering spur like the trunk of a gnarled tree. Atop sits a broad-rimmed and well-tapered Acorn with a good bit of bend to its shank, suitable for any Danish classic presentation in its own right. Combine all of these details with one of Wojtek's deep, craggy sandblasts and natural plateau at both rim and shank-end, and you have a skillfully executed piece on all sides. Excellent work, and a unique, evolutionary design from Wojtek.
