Wojtek Pastuch: Smooth Bent Dublin with Warthog Tusk (0818)
Product Number: 002-811-0015
Though this bent Dublin from Polish carver Wojtek Pastuch is somewhat on the more substantial end of the carver's style, there's still quite a lithe, eager disposition to the form. It boasts an almost serpentine quality from transition to bit, guided by the softly-flaring Dublin bowl, the likes of which are crowned with a craggy, undulating spread of plateau. The finish is a deep, rich shade of ruby, serving to highlight an phenomenal spread of flame all around, complemented by a cumberland stem sporting a base of creamy warthog tusk, bolstered by slender disc of gleaming brass. Lovely work from Wojtek.- Daniel Bumgardner
