About This Pipe

Wolfgang Becker has been carving pipes since the 1980s and often draws inspiration from the Danish school of design. Prized for their impressive line work and stunning finishes, Becker's pipes are often eccentrically shaped and showcase the artisan's affinity for whimsy. This bent Egg is a slightly more reserved offering from the artisan, though it still displays plenty of dynamism and refinement.

This charming bent Egg is compact in length, measuring a tidy 5.35 inches, yet it boasts a tall bowl with a generous chamber depth of nearly 1.75 inches. The bowl urges forward gently as its walls rise from a plump, lifted heel and taper slightly toward a crisp rim. Subtle cheeking around the transition gives way to a brawny shank that curves upward to meet a high-kicking, stylized stem of vulcanite. Said stem slenderizes the pipe's overall profile, juxtaposing the hefty stummel that maintains most of the pipe's visual weight. Light, eye-catching boxwood adorns the junction, standing out smartly against the stummel's dark, smooth finish, which highlights a wealth of stunning grain. Impeccable in both form and finish, this bent Egg is sure to make a prized addition to any smoker's collection.
