G. L. Pease - Key Largo 2oz
Tasty and creamy. The Red Virginias really make this blend for me. I wish there was maybe a little more small leaf orientals, and a little less Latakia, but I'm still quite happy with it.
Missouri Meerschaum - Little Devil Cutty
I like the pipe, but the the shank doesn't line up with the bottom of the bowl/chamber--a good quarter inch or so, so the pipe stops smoking and I lose a bunch of tobacco from the bottom.
Tabac De La Semois - Delice De Corbion
Creamy taste and wonderful aroma. The short filler can sometimes be annoying, but overall a tasty treat.
Macanudo - Inspirado Green Robusto
I was hoping for a little more flavor from the Brazilian leaf than the usual Macanudo mildness, but it was quite mild with a little spiciness towards the very end. This is a beautiful looking cigar, with a perfect scent--but just not very tasty.
McConnell - Piccadilly Circus 50g
This was suggested as a replacement for Dunhill's London Mixture--a favourite of mine. While there are certain scent memories of that mix, in my initial taste review it doesn't quite add up. DLM was more oriental forward and cooled with Latakia, but this is actually quite Latakia forward and I cannot really discern any of the other orientals. It's not a terrible English blend, but it's not very exciting either, especially if you were hoping for the spiciness of the orientals.
McClelland - Special: Holiday Spirit 2013 50g
I'm not generally an aromatic smoker, but this had a delightful taste of leaf for me and a pleasant inside room note to please others. Tastier than I thought it would be and smokes smoothly all the way down.
Samuel Gawith - Full Virginia Flake 250g
Sweet hay intoxication!
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake
Tastier than I thought it would be!
