Sutliff - Match 20
Umm....No Thanks
965 has been my "go to" baccy for a long time. I've probably easily smoked 300+ tins of it. I suspect I know 965 pretty darn well. This "match" does its best and I appreciate the effort by Sutliff. However, this blend only mildly rhymes with 965 and only in the higher notes. It's a bit bitey if your not careful and is totally missing the pleasant slightly sharp leather of 965. The Sutliff match also lacks the nicotine strength. 965 also has a bolder flavor overall by a significant margin. The biggest problem, however, is the Cavendish component. 965 uses UNSWEETENED brown Cavendish. Sutliff uses an obviously sweetened Cavendish. I smoked 965 and this Sutliff match side by side....puff by puff. It's not a good match at all. I don't recommend. If you are looking for something that has the same spirit of 965, I would highly suggest you try Balkan Sasieni. It hits many of the same notes as 965 and is the best "match" of 965 currently available.

Having smoked much of what is on the market today and my fair share of the unavailable legends, I can safely say this tobacco is in the top 5 I've ever put a match too. Its sweet, smokey, spicy, sour and creamy all at once. The slices rub out wonderfully and the burn is cool and easy. After a brief dry and gravity fill, get ready for nirvana. I'm jaded at this point. It takes a LOT to impress me. This baccy blew my doors off. How I never smoked this classic until now is a mystery. All that matters now is that I found a true gem. Try it, you wont be sorry.
Dan Tobacco - Blue Note 250g
If you are going to smoke an aromatic, smoke this...
I don't smoke aromatics much but Blue Note is the king of all aros imo. It's high quality tobacco and the smell straight from the bag is so pleasant that it alone is worth the price. This is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. It's a five star aromatic for sure but moving into English and straight Virginia's will open a whole new world.

This is easily the best Virginia ever produced. Natural sweetness, dark natural fruit and an unbelievable creamy....buttery homemade bread like flavor. Its simply sublime.

I smoke this every day. Cool, smoky, slightly sweet and spicy. It is tobacco perfection.
Mac Baren - Cube Silver 100g
One of the worst I've smoked
If your curious about this blend....dont be. It's the second worst tobacco I've ever smoked. Everything taste chemically enhanced and artificial. Blech!
