Hearth & Home - Black House 1.75oz
Great Balkan
While it is not unique, it stands out as a rock solid example of the style. Smooth and does not bite even when pushed. I will definitely be ordering more of this

Fribourg & Treyer - Cut Blended Plug 50g
Smooth/Rich
a quality red virginia. Smokes cool yet rich with no bite even when pushed

Fribourg & Treyer - Vintage Flake 50g
Smooth Virginia
Everything you could hope for in a straight VA flake. Perfect for summertime - does not bite when pushed & could be enjoyed all day due to its smoothness. Top notch

Cornell & Diehl - Sunset Harbor Flake 2oz
diamond in the rough
In a sea of big, bold, balkan style blends out there, this is an easy smoking - richly flavored blend. Not overly complex, but easy to rub out, lights easily, and delivers the flavors you are looking for

Drucquer & Sons - The Devil's Own 100g
Woodsy English
I get alot of Hay&Wood out of this blend. Still quality tobacco, but just not to my personal tastes. My favorite part of this is the last 1/3 of the bowl where the richness finally comes through & you get a bit more sweetness/nutty flavors

Mac Baren - HH Vintage Syrian 16oz
rich & smooth
Sad to see this go, when we have only just met. Everything you could hope for in a bold, yet rich english blend

Peter Stokkebye - PS17 English Luxury
Smooth
A smooth yet mild blend. Nothing bad to say about it really, just maybe TOO mild for my tastes

Cornell & Diehl - Vieux Carré 2oz
Smooth
Definitely a virginia forward blend where the Lat & Orientals sit in a supporting role. Dig the whiskey topping, it adds a layer of depth while supporting the Latakia, yet adds an almost creamy flavor in combination with the orientals. A fantastic morning smoke for me

G. L. Pease - Chelsea Morning 2oz
Subtle
At first, I was not sure how I felt about this blend, but after smoking through 2oz of the stuff, I think this might be (one of) the ideal morning bowl blends for many people. No experience with Dunhill EMP, but this has hit the spot many a morning. Very curious how it would age. When smoked slow fresh, you can get some subtle orange peel and fruits out of this - quite enjoyable

McConnell - Scottish Cake 50g
An Easy Favorite
Has quickly jumped ahead in my rotation when I am looking for a VaPer. Yes, there is burley, but its subtle enough where I do not really notice it

Peter Stokkebye - PS41 Cube Cut
Tasty
I generally, am not a fan of burley, however I really enjoy the complexities of this. I also really dig the cut. Super easy to pack & go

G. L. Pease - Fillmore 2oz
New standard
This will probably always be in my rotation - particularly in Fall. A spicier VaPer, but balanced well and just seems to taste better & better the older it gets

Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 50g
VAPer Heaven
has quickly climbed to easily being my top 3 VaPers - smooth but with just the right spice kick and mountains of stewed fruits

G. L. Pease - Union Square 8oz
Flavorful
Have not had it with any significant age yet, however fresh - beats the pants off OGS & Dunhill Flake. A bit more to it body-wise & more complex

Drucquer & Sons - Blairgowrie 100g
My Favorite of the Line
Easily my favorite of the Drucq's. More virginia & oriental forward with a great smoothness - does not bite but smokes cool

G. L. Pease - Laurel Heights 8oz
Impressed
Surprised nobody has reviewed this yet - if you like McClelland Red Cake, then try this. Very similar profile without the bbq/ketchup smell and taste - a touch richer as well - great stuff!

G. L. Pease - Embarcadero 8oz
Unique
An interesting change of pace from your normal VA blend. The izmir adds an interesting almost salty cocoa spice to the rich Reds. Will be interesting to see how it ages

Cornell & Diehl - Habana Daydream 2oz
A different English
Not really sure I would call this an English - you taste mostly the virginia & cigar leaf, VERY mildly smoky Lat. It is a quality blend, just does not blow me away - fairly one dimensional

Samuel Gawith - Winter Time Flake 50g
Good - not great
The quality of the leaf is obviously there, but a limited one note flavor profile(latakia). You will get a good smoke out of it, but there are similar/better - more complex blends out there than this

Rattray's - Hal O' The Wynd 100g
Excellent
A great VAPer - I really do not even taste the burley. I also find this to be more of a medium strength than full. Smokes smooth and zero bite. Looking forward to seeing what extended age does to this blend

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake
Mixed Emotions
I really wanted to like this - You get a faint hint of a neutral cocoa flavor, but it is mostly hidden by the soapy Lakeland aroma & flavor. It is not bad tobacco, but the lakeland soap just kills what would otherwise be a great tasting blend

McClelland - Blakeney's Best: Tawny Flake 50g
Solid VA
Got lucky and received an old tin of this with an order. Classic McClelland VAs here. not super complex, but great quality leaf. Ages quite well - think my tin was from 2006

Esoterica - Tilbury 8oz
Something different
I normally am not a fan of burley, but the deepness of the VAs in this blend balance it really nicely

Cornell & Diehl - Yorktown 2oz
Under-rated!
Really surprised this does not get more love - a VA lovers dream. Not overly complex, but you get the best of both the bright and red virginias all in one

Drucquer & Sons - Red Lion 200g
Mild English
A great blend if you prefer mild english's - I just think it is TOO mild for my tastes. A small complaint is how dry it was straight out of the tin. The quality is there though

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 8oz
Better than Penzance
Yeah, I said it - this is quite similar to penzance but better - smoother & great rich flavor. Thoroughly enjoying this one as the cold is starting to hit the midwest

Cornell & Diehl - Red Carpet 2oz
Great Blend
A great VaPer! Everything I love about earthy, bready, yet sweet red virginias with a touch of spice from the perique. An under the radar blend that is great for Fall right now

Cornell & Diehl - Interlude 2oz
A Beautiful Red
Love red VAs and this one is no different. Great bready/nutty flavors with just the tiniest bit of honey sweetness

Esoterica - And So To Bed 8oz
Smooth English
A less smoky, but more rustic english. Great leathery cocoa with some woody and bread back notes. Some sweetness but mild. Fantastic

Esoterica - Margate 8oz
Quality
one of the better english blends I have tried. Burns well and does not bite. If english blends are your thing - this might be your new favorite. . . . if it ever comes back in stock

Esoterica - Pembroke 8oz
quality english
A great english blend. The quality is obvious. Not being overly bitter or harsh. I think I prefer this over Margate - the cognac adds another level of complexity

G. L. Pease - Renaissance Reserve 2oz
Perfection
So good. vanilla cream & orange citrus with the right amount of spice and earth. Simple but elegant and smooth

Cornell & Diehl - Bijou 2oz
Great Now
As great as this tastes now - I look forward to what the years will do to this blend. Not overly sweet, but rich with little to no bite

Peterson - Irish Cask 50g
Easy Favorite
Right off the bat - I knew this would be great. Almost creamy, but mostly sweet wood. It can bite if you smoke it too quick. Will definitely be in my usual rotation

Peterson - University Flake 50g
Not bad
It is good, just not great. With other better blends like this out there, for my tastes, this is forgettable

Peter Stokkebye - PS400 Luxury Navy Flake
Tasty
This has quickly shot into a regular in my rotation. Drier, but a subtle sweetness. Like smoking sourdough bread but a little nutty too

Samuel Gawith - Scottish Autumn Flake 50g
Great stuff
A more bready / nutty VA. Not too sweet and not too strong. Quickly becoming a favorite

Cornell & Diehl - Manhattan Afternoon 2oz
Smooth smoker
Surprised there are so few reviews of this. For my tastes, this is almost perfect. Like smoking buttered toast with honey. Slightly woody/nutty but subtle. Great anytime of day

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 100g
Not my thing
I really wanted to like it, but it just didnt do it for me. The quality is obviously there, just not for my tastes. Did not care for the olive flavors I got in this
