Cornell & Diehl - Orion's Arrow
Solid
Here is a CD blend you can sink your teeth in. Pretty stout for an all day smoke and it will dirty your pipe so have some pipe cleaners handy. Leaves a lot of residue. Nicotine is high. .

Peter Stokkebye - PS701 Virginia
Revisted
This is either, Not as good as it used to be OR my tastes in Virginias have changed. Oh, it is still very good, just seems to be lacking the depth I remember.

Cornell & Diehl - Three Friars
Quality Tobacco
A fine blend of just plain, untopped, unflavored tobacco. What C&D does best. Also a new Smoking pipes.com record. 36 hours from order to doorstep!

Missouri Meerschaum - Country Gentleman 1.5oz
Interesting
At first look It appeared to be typical long cut cigarette tobacco once more being palmed off as pipe tobacco. after the first few bowls, it was growing on me and I embracedxthe simple tobacco taste, just a smidge of spice from the perique. Great burning qualities and just enough Kentucky burley to add some nic. Couldn't bite if you tried. Great for working in the yard or shop where you don't want some over the top blend. A beer drinking blend for sure. I would like to find this in bulk. Might age quite well.

Kramer's - Blend for Cary Grant 50g
One for a cold winters day
This is a very nice English blend. The topping is applied with a very light touch. It adds to the depth and character of this blend. This is a keeper best enjoyed on a cold winter day (or night) with a fine liquor. Should age remarkably.

Iwan Ries - Three Star Blue 1.5oz
What is this?...I think I get it!
Nice smell, visually it looks like light colored fine wood chips mixed with darker tobaccos of various cuts. The taste is typical aromatic at first light but quickly dissipates to a flat tasting burley. I note no Virginia or other tobacco at all. Seems to burn quickly even though the moisture is nearly perfect. The taste is fresh and not chemical. I get a touch of fruit and carmel. Not one I will return to.

Amphora - Original Blend 1.75oz
Quality Tobacco
This pouch of Amphora Original was made with quality tobaccos. Not bad. Didn't note much of anything but burley. Not really any better or worse than a number of other OTC tobaccos. Not as good as Prince Albert.

McClelland - Lucky Day 50g
Not an Aromatic smoker
I like the low key aromatic effect. It is brought on only by the Mc black cav added to the Mc Virginia. Kind of what you might do at home. Better though. I give this 6 months to peak, apparently so does McClelland! Update: 7/16/17 I found this can in the back of the desk. It had fallen between the wall and the desk. Very dry but still pliable. Burns well, tastes incredible but made my throat tickle.

Grand Croupier - Double Down
Great Tobacco
Latest review 1/25/17 More bright Virginia in this latest batch and of course the Burly is top notch. Still a real good smoke. After purchasing 4 or 5 pounds of DD I have never had a bad batch. OH, and thankfully, I've never found any black cavendish. 6/22/16. This is my third 1lb order of DD. It seems to be pretty darned consistent. This last batch has some small chunks of recognizable C&D blends. Some Briar Fox for sure. Some Pease Jack Knife and some small chunks of Night Train. I hope this hodge podge never runs out because I would go broke trying to reproduce it!

Newminster - No. 1 All Natural
No longer.....Swampy
I really enjoy this tobacco. After about 6 months age on it, it became quite "swampy". Not Bad, just sort of "down by the river" tasting. I will buy more because I sort of like the fermented "swamp" taste. It fills the nostrils with a nice olfactory sensation. Straight tobacco taste. *Update* This tobacco has continued to age marvelously and is now incredible. No swampy taste at all. It has developed small, fine crystals similar to those that develop on aged cigars.
