Orlik - Racing Green 50g
Sweet it is Not
I have always been keen to try this blend and I enjoy Orlik golden sliced and Dark Kentucky very much. Orlik "Green" is a disappointment to me. The presentation and quality is what I have come to expect from Orlik, however, this blend did not have a hint of sweetness and very little in the way of flavor. To me, this blend dry and a little cigaretty with no other redeemable features worthy of comment.

Erinmore - Erinmore Flake 50g
Used to be 4 stars
Like my comments on the Mixture, this once wonderful flake has also gone backwards. It is not so much the quality of the leaf, the strength and presentation, but STG appears to have toned down that famous "juicy fruit gum" flavor and replaced it with a more subdued floral flavor which is now barely noticable in the tin note and even less so in the flavor. It's still a reasonable smoke but not in the same vein as the previous recipe.

Erinmore - Erinmore Mixture 100g
What Happened?
I used to enjoy this blend alot, however the tin I purchased last week was a terrible disappointment. The tin note is now very mild and sort of floral and what used to be a medium strength lightly sweet tobacco with a mild "juicy fruit gum" flavour and satisfying tart background, is now virtually tasteless and cigarette like. Perhaps the new owners at STG heeded the often negative comments about this tobacco being sweet and goopy and tone it down --too much! Unfortunately, I will not be buying again.
