Contrary Opinion
Soaking wet in the tin. Plum? Tastes like a bad cigar to me. Sorry about this review, just being honest.

Cornell & Diehl - Captain Bob's Blend 8oz
I Enjoy It
Very unique blend for sure as Nick N. says. Base English with a grape soda (or grape lolipop) top note. Sounds odd but it works for me. I would say it fits in the American English category, like Edward G. Robinson blend, which I also enjoy very much.... EGR is much more subtle compared to Cap Bob though, and the top note on the Captain takes a front seat without totally dominating. Cap Bob is definitely not for everyone, but if you try it and don't like it, I'll be glad to finish it for you. :)

Edward G. Robinson - Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend 1.5oz
Wonderful Stuff
I received a tin of this for Christmas and I was absolutely blown away. Best way I can describe it is a perfect 50/50 balance between English and Aromatic. The epitome of the old time "American English" style blend. My Dad used to smoke Brush Creek which I believe was very similar. I smoke this more than any other blend now... just terrific stuff. One caution: I bought a 12 oz. cannister of this because I liked it so much, but the 12 oz. cannister I received didn't smell or taste anything like the 1.5 oz. It was sour, dry, and stale. Sent it back for a replacement cannister. New 12 oz. was fine. If I had received the "bad" tobacco first, I probably would have never gotten to the "good stuff" and that would have been a shame. Make sure you get the "good stuff"! :)

James J. Fox - Squires Mixture 50g
Confused
Tin description is way off. Tobacco smells like soap. Not a hint of latakia (not that I need latakia in a blend to smoke it but the description does say latakia). I knew as soon as I opened the tin I would not like this blend but to be fair I tried it anyway. Nope. Absolutely not for me. I will try to give the tin away or toss it. It is tobacco and it is technically smokeable so I gave one star.

Skandinavik - Full Aroma Cavendish 4.5oz
Very good tobacco.
Don't let the description of this tobacco influence you. It is a very good nutty, very mildly sweet smoke. Has a nice natural tobacco flavor that always seems to get better toward the middle of the bowl. One of my top three 'go to' tobaccos. Doesn't ghost my pipes and I find it to be a good break in tobacco. Skandinavik has been around for years and I suspect there is a reason for that :)

I like it!
One of my top three 'go to' tobaccos. I find it to be very cool burning, flavorful, and relaxing. Has a kick for sure, and you need to be ready for it. Burns to a wonderful white ash. Flavor is truly one of a kind, subtle, and enjoyable.

CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Sorry
I couldn't wait to try this based on the reviews. Upon opening the tin, I was greeted with... virtually nothing. I had to try several times to get any kind of aroma whatsoever. In the pipe... still no flavor. Tried several pipes at different times. Maybe I got a bad tin, but I just don't taste anything remarkable. It does burn very nice and cool though.

Different
This is very unusual tobacco. Very wet on opening. A little hard to keep lit. I will let it dry and try again. Tin note is very hard to define and does not really match flavor in pipe. Overall, a little harsh and not my cup of tea.

Dan Tobacco - Gordon Pym 50g
Very Good
A quality mild English. Very smooth and enjoyable. I like it as a change of pace to my Aromatic and Virginia tobaccos. Dan tobacco hits the mark again.

Dan Tobacco - Devil's Holiday 50g
Great Stuff
One of my favorites. Nice berry flavor with a bit of a kick. Sells out quickly for a reason, like Keenan F. said. Another great offering by Dan Tobacco.

Drew Estate - 7th Avenue Blonde 50g
Nope
Don't know what this is, but I know what it isn't. It isn't any good. Tin aroma is similar to other tobaccos I have tried once and tossed. Will do the same with this, before I ghost my pipe beyond hope of recovery. Drew Estate marketing at its best. Harsh words, but it's how I feel about their products.

Germain - Uncle Tom's 50g
Good Tobacco
Uncle Tom's is described as 'An old fashioned style with a subtle aroma and mild taste'. Dead on description in my opinion. If I were to imagine what an 'old fashioned' tobacco would look and taste like, this would be it (if that makes sense). Moisture content is just right. The look of the tobacco is almost comical (in a good way), since it has so many different shades of tobacco in it. If you are looking for a mild aromatic, perhaps an occasional switch from what you are used to smoking, give it a try. Pretty good stuff.

Reiner - Blend No. 25 50g
Very Good
Very good tobacco pretty much as described. Light to medium aromatic that isn't too sweet or cloying. Moisture content is just right out of the tin. One reason I enjoy it is because the actual flavor is not specific (vanilla, cherry, maple, etc.). It is just a smooth, pleasant taste. A good blend for new pipe smokers, I would think. Highly recommended.

Erinmore - Erinmore Mixture 100g
Impossible
Impossible for me to understand how anyone can smoke Erinmore. Harsh comment, I know. To me, it just has the oddest flavor and aroma.

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired 3.5oz
I Agree
I mostly agree with John S. While Dark Fired is one of the better tobaccos in its class, I don't understand the hype either. I was taken in by the reviews of this tobacco as well as Reiner Long Golden Flake and Solani Aged Burley Flake. While they are definitely quality tobaccos, I find them far too strong and have way too much nicotine after effect. I don't smoke my pipes to get a 'kick' out of them like so many do. Not saying that there is anything wrong with that at all... to each his own. All you guys who enjoy these tobaccos, more power to you. For those of us who like milder more subtle blends, be wary of putting too much stock in the 'hype'. I also find the 'for a Mac Baren' comments a little off putting. Norwood, Club Blend, Golden Extra, and Virginia No. 1 are all excellent tobaccos.

Two Friends - English Chocolate 2oz
Great Concept
Really terrific idea but the execution of it leaves something to be desired. IMHO the tobacco needs the Latakia dialed back and the chocolate flavor increased. The latakia overwhelms the very slight chocolate taste. This isn't bad tobacco, just not what I was expecting. I was looking for a slightly smoky chocolate flavor, but it is more of a slightly chocolate smoky flavor. Has a really good kick to it also.
