Half and Half - Half and Half 1.5oz
Half and half has been around a while.
There's little complexity here: it tastes of Burley with occasional hints of anise. It's not the horror that it's made out to be.

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 16oz
Briar fox great name.
C&D really knows how to do Burley. In my trial of a few of their Burley blends, here is how I rank them in taste and amount of Burley: Haunted Bookshop, Old Joe Krantz, Bayou Morning, Briar Fox, and last (with next to no Burley) Night Train.

Cornell & Diehl - Habana Daydream
Five stars.
Billy Budd is a good example of lackluster cigar tobacco. This one is quite good, very flavorful and doesn't disappoint. If you love a good cigar, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

Cornell & Diehl - Old Joe Krantz
An interesting flavor profile!
You can taste a very clear aroma of nuts. There are also earthy undertones and hints of leather, which together with smoky roasted notes create an interesting combination of taste impressions. Carefully plugged, the Old Joe Krantz burns inconspicuously, but as with so many Virginia-containing tobaccos you should be careful not to smoke too greedily.

Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Delicately sweet!
The Virginias transport nut aromas, a grassy acidity and classic, intense toasty notes. It is striking that the tongue seems to be covered with a sweet enamel. Here the maple syrup of the aroma with its autumnal-sweet spiciness harmonises wonderfully with the basic tobaccos.

Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - 1882 Founder's Blend 1.4oz
Powerful and penetrating.
The 4th Generation 1882 Founder's Blend is richly smoky. It proves to be a surprising melange of characteristics of both typically English and Irish blends. The Virginia is present with mild roasted bread and its spice accompanies the savoury smokiness of the Oriental. The Latakia keeps the tobacco pleasantly cool and underlines the background with light incense. An alkaline, salty note is mixed with an astringent effect that lovers of Irish tobaccos call perfumed. Something like the scent of a fine soap. Overall, it's exceptional and something that encourages you to sip comfortably and mindfuly enjoy the components. The ash that remains is light, fine and easy to clean thanks to the scarce condensate.

Missouri Meerschaum - Tom Sawyer
Love my Missouri Meerschaums
I've just purchased two and I don't even smoke 😂 and I'm going to start collecting corncob, too see how many different types and designs there is .

G. L. Pease - Westminster 2oz
Fantastic English / Balkan Blend
Although it is Latakia dominant, the smokiness from the Latakia is not overwhelming; rather it blends beautifully with the Virginias in creating one of the most uniquely sublime smoking experience.

Grand Croupier - Double Down
A fan of burley blends
It's warm, nutty, even a little sweet. It's just really good burley leaning more toward a quality Danish burley flake. A pleasant smoke. The sweet cream aroma is leading the room note.

Daughters & Ryan - Three Sails
British Style Virginia Blend
Three Sails packs and burns with ease. Due to its thin cut and lower moisture content, the flavor strength takes no time to develop. And while this isn’t a complex smoke, it does offer up a few nuances. What I like most about Three Sails is that it presents the typical light, grassy, sweet cereal and citrus like flavors of a bright Virginia blend, only with more bravado and also a bit of spice.

Lane Limited - BCA
Vanilla and honey
Like its brethern, this Black Cavendish is a good example of something that provides others with a great smelling treat, but leaves the smoker underwhelmed.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
New pipe smoker
Most people start pipe smoking with 1Q and keep smoking it forever(with 1 pipe), or they just quit smoking for good (tongue pain), or they back to cigarette, few of them continue pipe smoking with higher quality tobaccos and pipes. This may explain why this blend is Worldwide no.1 selling. OK, this doesn't taste like tobacco. Agreed. It doesn't taste like much of anything. But taste and smell are closely linked. And this tobacco smells like......marshmallows and vanilla and coconut and butterscotch and caramel and... everything good.

Kramer's - Father Dempsey 50g
Good
This English blend is very smooth and very full and has a more creamy but sweet taste, it can be smoked any time of the day.I won't waste time going over the fine points of FD. Others have written far better descriptions than I can. I'll just say if you enjoy English mixtures you owe it to yourself to give FD a try. You'll thank me later.

Low Country - Natural Virginia & Oriental
Mild and naturally blend
Smoking characteristics were good. It was easy to pack and smoke. I did not have a bunch of relights and flavor was good throughout the bowl. The level of nicotine and the strength of this tobacco are one more of its assets, kept at a mostly medium level they allow one to smoke without fatigue. It burns slow, it tastes like pure natural tobacco

Grand Croupier - Boneyard
Highly recommended
The Virginia hides in the background giving a little sweetness, and in the front is a combination of Latakia perique along with plain burley. The bulk note is sweet and woody, accompanying with some smokey aroma. Comes with ribbon, broken flake, cut plugs and other coarse cuts.

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop
Polarizing
Think of Haunted Bookshop as a boutique codger burley and you will get some idea of it. It's mostly burley, and it's a bitter, powerful, almost cigar like burley at that. Some people might be put off by how the strong, ashy, burley is almost reminiscent of cigarette tobacco. The rough and chunky little squares and ribbons of Haunted Bookshop, however, assure that this is a slow burner easily ladled into any size pipe
