Cornell & Diehl - Steamworks 2oz
Well, it was worth a shot
I got my tin from MO Meerschaum on sale as it was a "smell tester". So it was pretty dry when I got it. The tin note gave off a subtle mesquite bbq smell, but that's been it. I've tried a few bowls, and all had the same result. No aroma, and no taste, except for a slight bitterness. I even tried it in a cob pipe to see if I could detect any sweetness that way. Maybe a new tin would have better results, but I doubt I'll bother considering all the other options I currently have.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust - StillWell Star Holiday Y2023
Pleasantly smooth
A well made cigar with a smooth draw and nuanced aromatic qualities. The subtle taste of the blend was most noticeable upon the exhale, not the draw, but not like an aftertaste, as it did not linger.

Very nice indeed
A pleasant smoke throughout that starts as soon as you unwrap it. The cigar brings a enjoyable room note that lingers for a bit, but you want it to. The perique blend is present but not overpowering, giving way to a nice even smoke throughout. I'd have to say it was the most notable of the four main offerings from Stillwell Star.

A cigar with an internal struggle
A subtle note of latakia mixed with other tobaccos hints at what to expect as soon as you unwrap it. Upon first light, the blend seems to struggle with itself. As you smoke it, nuances of the different types fight for supremacy, giving the cigar a unique taste as it burns. About half way through, the battle is over as all the tastes blend together into a seemingly tasteless flavor. It makes you wonder what could've been if there wasn't so much infighting.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust - StillWell Star English No. 27
A solid start
The scent of the latakia is present even before the pre-light, and gives a bold smoke profile. It gives this well made cigar a pleasant smoky taste and smell for the first half, but not overpowering. About half way through, the smokiness gives way to a woodsy flavor for a nice, even finish.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust - StillWell Star Aromatic No. 1
Right down the middle
Stillwell 3 star would be a better name for this cigar. It was certainly lacking in the Aromatic qualities, and the only taste I got from it was the slightly sweetened cap. The draw was consistent and easy, as this is a well made cigar. The pros and cons basically cancel each other out. You essentially smoke this cigar for the act of it, then immediately forget you did. DTT managed to wrap nothing in a cigar wrapper and make it smokeable.
