Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Nailed it!
Started my pipe journey like many, with some gloopy aromatics. A few bowls, and a few scorched tongues later, I retreated and gave my first English blend a shot...glad I did. It saved me from putting my pipe down forever. So after getting to know unadulterated tobacco a bit better, as well as a little pipe training, from Virginia forward blends...I wanted to give a aromatics another shot... picked up 2 oz of Cricket on a suggestion from a buddy....Wow! Very nice. This has become a favorite in my rotation. The topping just works amazingly with this blend, while there is still enough natural tobacco character there to enjoy. Also the leaf behaves so well, burning easy with little to no relights. Fantastic light aromatic, give this one a shot.

I bought a few tins, looking for a cheaper alternative to Escudo...ended up liking these flakes better than the Escudo coins. While keeping your cadence controlled and the bowl smoldering slowly, you can taste the richness of raisin, fig. Like a good vaper, the piquant spiciness builds up as you smoke the bowl down. Very nice C&D.

G and H never seem to let the piper down. Delicious bright Virginia blend, a bit of lemony citrus, and almost, honey like sweetness. Very smooth and pleasant. All day long, this one.
Mac Baren - Mixture Scottish Blend 3.5oz
must try for new piper
Been enjoying a pipe for roughly eight or nine months. I still consider myself a novice, but an eager one. MacBaren Mixture has quickly become one of my favorites. I probably smoke this blend more than any other right now. Simply delicious, while providing an excellent aroma, and mechanically the tobacco behaves so well. Easy to pack/light. Only caviat...sip slow, or get bit.

Absolutely love these flakes. Superb quality and presentation. This is my first taste of Lakeland, but I'm blown away. I've already purchased a second helping of brown flake scented. Highly recommended to anyone wanting to try a strong aromatic with herbal and floral topping.
