Cornell & Diehl - Corn Cob Pipe and A Button Nose Ready Rubbed 2oz
Yummy
A soft yummy blend. I can definitely pick up the cocoa and marshmallow type flavor. It is fairly subtle but a pleasant smoke. In terms of flavor its very mild, but sometimes thats exactly what you want. Mild pleasant smoke, would definitely pick up a tin for the holidays.

Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening 2oz
Everyone should try once
Everyone should at least try this blend. The smell off the tin is like maple syrup pancakes and the room note is no different. Underlying tobacco is very pleasant and incredibly sweet. If you are a fan of aromatics this one is done very well and is worth giving a try.

Drew Estate - Deadwood Crazy Alice
Sweet little cigar
I come from the pipe tobacco world but had one of these while alking my dog and was impressed. It is very sweet but had a good flavor throughout. Gunna keep one or two of these in the humidor for sure.

My Father - The Judge Corona Gorda
Fine Cigar
Dang, what a fine cigar. Its rare that I finish one all the way down to the nub but this one I just couldnt get enough. Thought the name was cheesy but picked it up at random at my local cigar shop and holy hell was I surprised. Great cigar and I will definitely be picking up a couple on my next pipe tobacco order.

Half and Half - Half and Half 1.5oz
Nuts
If you want to taste the nuttiness of a burley pick up some of this blend. Decent codger, imo doesnt come close to captain black but is enjoyable. Topping is a boozy like flavor, reminds me of brandy. Not my favorite but dont hate it by any means. Would be a great yardwork/camping/tinkering blend.

Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
Biased Review
Fair warning this is a biased review. This was the first pipe tobacco I ever bought and I learned how to smoke a pipe just with captain black OG. That being said this is a great pipe tobacco. Hobbiton Piper said it best. Captain black is to a macbaren/GL Pease/c&d blend as miller light is to a craft beer. The complexity and depth that we are used to is not there. What is there is a wonderful vanilla note that is steady throughout the bowl. What it lacks for in complexity it makes up for in consistency. Pick up a pouch of this stuff on your next order for yardwork, camping, tinkering, etc. Simple yet tasty, cant recommend this stuff enough.

Cornell & Diehl - Carolina Red Flake with Perique 2oz
Good but not my favorite VaPer
This blend is good, but while smoking I was a little disappointed expecting a wow factor from those red virginias. What I found was a sweet figgy blend similar to VaPers I have had already I could detect a decent amount of sweetness from those red viginias that I enjoyed. I am excited to cellar this one, but right now it will not be my go to tobacco. Ill probably be leaving the mason jar of this on the shelf for quite some time before reaching for it again.

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 2oz
Tasty English
This is a tasty blend. You can tell a lot of thought was put into making this the best it could be. For me the most prominent part is the cavendish and latakia. The balance they have gives this blend a creamy smoke. Flavorful but soft, defined but cohesive. Overall the hype is deserved on this one, and this one has to be a must try for pipe tobacco enthusiasts.

Sutliff - Creme Brulee
Reminds me of my vaping days
The topping on this blend is so thick with that cream/custard/vanilla flavoring that is emulating creme brulee, it reminds me of vape juice back in my college days. Flavor and smell is very nice and the topping definitely compliments the smell of burning tobacco. I enjoyed this, but rather than stocking up on more Id rather explore what other aromatics sutliff has to offer.

G. L. Pease - Triple Play 2oz
Funky
An excellent blend by GL Pease. Upon first opening the tin I found the tin note to be heavy on perique. My wife smelled it and said it smelled like a straight up foot. However upon smoking you are greeted with a lovely spicy aroma. I get similar notes when I smoke Haunted bookshop, although in HB the burley seems to be much more foreword. I get pepper, bread, that GL pease tar note, and a kind of cheesy note similar to a cheddar roll or something similar. If you like perique this one is definitely for you. Overall I really enjoy this blend but more of an occasional smoke for me and if you like perique Id recommend picking some up to try.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake 50g
Great
This blend is delicious. I get a classic English note with that leathery cedar taste that I love covered in chocolate flavor that gives me toasted marshmallow and hot cocoa notes. I do get that soapy lakeland taste that people talk about but did not find it unpleasant. I dont know if I could make this a daily rotation but picked up some to cellar.

G. L. Pease - The Virginia Cream 2oz
Wow
Wow what a treat! I get a lovely sweet vanilla taste that doesnt taste like vanilla flavoring but more like vanilla ice cream. That along side with mild citrusy hay like viginias is truly wonderful. One of the best blends I've tried so far.

G. L. Pease - Haddo's Delight 2oz
Good, but a bit overwhelming at times
I enjoyed this blend and compared it with back to back bowls of this and Escudo. The first thing I noticed is the strong topping that is apparently plum brandy. To me it tasted similar to those grape swishers that you use to smoke other kinds of herbs. But digging deeper this blend definitely showcases perique in an interesting way and the underlying tobacco flavors were excellent. The only reason I am not rating higher is because that plummy grapey flavor was a little overwhelming to me at times. Overall still an incredibly enjoyable blend and I would recommend trying.

A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Premium Tobacco
A quality blend, you can sense the quality of this product when you smoke it. I picked up on hay notes that reminded me of the smell of the horse race stadium I'd go to as a kid. Slightly sweet, earthy, pleasant. There definitley is a fruit note that is really hard to pinpoint. To me it tasted similar to a fresh picked blueberry. Overall very good blend and would recommend to anyone who loves VaPers or someone who wants to get into VaPers.

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired 1.75oz
Straightforward
This blend is very good. I get notes of leather, soy sauce, pepper, and bbq over charcoal. 4 stars because I was missing a little bit of complexity. I feel with some english blends I am finding new flavors every puff, with this I didnt find too much room to explore. However still and excellent blend that I would highly recommend trying.

Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Very good
I tried this a few months ago and didn’t understand all the hype around it. Turns out I was smoking way too hot and killing any and all flavor. After some practice with some other blends, I fired up a bowl and immediately understood. Immediately got a delicious cherry bomb to the face. Very reminiscent of those holiday boxes of chocolates. Specifically the chocolate covered cherries. That mixed with those shortbread cookies with a cherry in the middle. Very good, underlying tobacco had a pleasant taste. Definitely my one of my favorite aromatics so far.

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Took me a while
At first I didnt like this blend. It took me 5-6 bowls but after a while I started noticing a wonderful cedar leather note. To me a very complex blend with a lot going on. Kind of a pine woodsy tastes, a but of used motor oil, floral, a little citrusy. Overall very good and would definitely recommend.

Cornell & Diehl - Apricots and Cream 2oz
Enjoyable
I bought this tobacco on the recommendation of "The Pipe Cottage" on youtube. I tried one bowl with minimal drying time and could only taste a sour tobacco note. After drying overnight I got a bit of a better flavor. I could notice the 'cream' and a vague fruity flavor. I enjoyed it but the overall flavor I experienced was an acidic tobacco note not to different from poorly made black coffee. By no means was it unenjoyable, but there are other blends I prefer much better.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
A must try
I was intimidated because before trying this I had not found a predominantly Virginia blend that I loved. I was wondering if maybe Virginias just weren't for me and if I should stick to burley based blends. However, upon trying Capstan Blue I realized I had just not tried enough Virginia blends. I found a wonderful easy smoking tobacco with a subtle sweetness and bready notes. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it has definitely earned a spot in my rotation.

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop 2oz
My favorite
Right now, and I expect for a long time, this is my #1 pipe tobacco. I picked some up due its notoriety and upon smelling the tin was disappointed. The tin note to me smells like a horse barn, a mixture of hay and manure with the faintest tobacco smell. I was bummed, but decided to try it anyway. Upon lighting the profile changes completely. You end up getting this nutty peppery smoke that is truly delightful. To me it reminded me of walking into a bowling ally back in the day before smoking was banned indoors. It is a malty, beery, nutty, and bready smoke with huge pepper note. It was immediately my favorite tobacco I had tried and remains one that I will keep stocked in my cellar forever.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Top rated for a reason
Great aromatic. It is easy to understand why this is so popular. I get gentle caramel, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and cookie notes while smoking and get a full-bodied tobacco taste. I only rated 4.5 stars because at times I get a weird bitter astringent aftertaste, but it is so infrequent and mild that this is still one of my go-tos.

Warped - Midsommar 2oz
One of my favorites
This blend really surprised me. I would say im an intermediate pipe smoker, having tried roughly 20 blends and trying to find what I like still. This was immediately one of my favorites I've tried. I got a really mellow savory citrus note that was extremely pleasant. This was one of the first blends that after smoking it I immediately ordered some more to make sure I dont run out anytime soon. Overall, highly recommend picking some up before its gone or picking up some similar blends.

Davidoff - Red Mixture 50g
Ok
This blend is ok, anyone looking for a light aromatic, i would give it a shot. Very subtle topping and I can still taste the virginias. For me I get an overtone of vanilla caramel with and undertone of chocolate. A little but like a mcdonalds chocolate vanilla swirl cone. Very subtle though and laid over a decent base of virginia. Didnt blow my hair back but i will enjoy the rest of the tin and be trying some of davidoff’s other options for sure
