Sutliff - Duke Albert
It grows on you
This is a great codger blend. I've never had the pleasure of smoking Prince Albert, but I am enjoying this blend. At first, I didn't care for it. However, I was just starting out as a new smoker and admittedly I didn't know how to pack and puff correctly. Now I enjoy a bowl of this now and again. I must say that I don't care for the tin note. It has a funky smell. It, like few others, tastes better than it smells. I recommend it to new smokers.

My New Facorite
As I new smoker, I was hesitant to try a navy type blend. Also, I've tended toward blends with a little burley. But, dang, Black Frigate is an incredibly great smoke. Flavor start to finish. No bit. The rum shines through.
Newminster - No.17 English Luxus
A Bully English-Burley Blend
My preference is for English blends that include burley tobaccos. This blend fit the bill perfectly. My first bowl in a cob pipe was very enjoyable. I have enjoyed other Newminster English blends, and others like English Luxury, and Proper English. I must say that this surpasses those other blends in terms of taste. The "tin note" or "bag note" is alluring. It smells fantastic! Luxus has a full body, and, perhaps, even a heavy taste, which I like. There is a harmony among the ingredients, without any one type dominating, but with each detectable in the character it adds. This a wonderful find!

Satisfying smoke
This is one of my favorite blends. It has a full rich creamy flavor with no bite. Great all day smoke. My wife loves the smell.

Buffalo girls won't you come out tonight....
After many bowl this blend continues to deliver. It has. Great room note, as reported by my wife. The burley comes through and melds well with and enhance the Virginia and Latakia. The perique adds a nice spice. Smoking this takes me to a rocker on a porch in a more simple and peaceful time.

Wow! This is a great blend! It has a nice full body, but cool smoking with no bite. It has a nuttiness and I can identify the different tobaccos individually, but the blend together nicely as well. A new favorite.
Sutliff - Spiced Rum
Wet, sticky, and greasy
It smells fantastic in the bag. However, it is so sticky, wet, and oily that it's a bear to keep lit. Plus it's unforgiving with packing. I've yet to be able to get through a whole bowl. It gets so oily it won't burn. Sigh
