Latakia overpowering blend
I felt that it tasted too “smoky” for my liking, most likely from the Latakia in the blend. Set this back in the jar and will revisit in a few months. Heard amazing reviews about it, but just not for me at the moment. Id be willing to try it out and update my review once I crack that jar open again!
Capstan - Ready Rubbed Yellow 1.75oz
Great smooth smoke
Tried this for the first time and was pleased. Had a hard time keeping lit, but it can also be from my packing technique still developing. The flavor was pretty good, had a nice scent to it too.
Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening 2oz
Amazing Flavor
New pipe smoker and autumn evening was recommended. The first words that came out of my mouth after that first puff was ,”Wow”. It really tastes exactly how it smells. It’s a mellow bodied, flavorful smoke. In the beginning, had a strong maple syrup and vanilla flavor but as the bowl progresses, the flavor really mellows out. Didn’t have any problem keeping it lit, and I didn’t need to dry it out either. Perfect smoke, will definitely buy more tins!
