Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 16oz
Here is the story. I am in the U.S. Coast Guard and was on patrol off the coast of south america, before I left I purchased briar Fox to give it a try. At first I wasn't that impressed but as the 60 day patrol wore on I dwindled my supply of other tobacco to none and was left with only the fox. So for about 2 weeks I was exclusively smoking it. And now it has a dedicated pipe and will stay in my regular rotation.
Cornell & Diehl - Sunday Picnic 8oz
hot weather must
I too read the blog on summer mixtures that suggests this blend and it has become my mid day go to. Sweet and refreshing burns all the way to the bottem I find it works best with a real lite pack of cut or broken pices with a bit rubbed out on the to to help it light. The U.S. Coast Guard moved me from Alaska to central Florida, this blend definitely helps get over the heat. The only issue I have is the Wife, she tells me my breath smells like cat litter after I smoke, this blend. So I just chase it with a mint and all is well:)
Peterson - Summertime Blend 2014 100g
smooth as can be tasts like it smells creamy fruits and flowers. Zero bite. I reserve it for once a week, my last smoke on Sunday evenings. The whole family knows when I open the tin.
Cornell & Diehl - Apples & Cream
apple tree bark
Smells great in the bag but that is where it ends for me. It looks and feels like tree bark. Burns even but way too hot. I get a tangy bitter taste, not much cream. The best way I find to smoke it is in a small churchwarden. I am a relatively novice smoker so I will save this for when I have better control.
