I don't recall any Victorian Luxury in my past but at least I've now got an excellent reference point!! I really dig this stuff!!! Not complicated...just lots of big, sweet mouthfuls of what I now know as Victorian Luxury!!

Lite, sweet, satisfying
Taste is extremely personal!!! I've been smoking a pipe for 55 years and in that time my taste has gone thru some changes. I've learned when you order a lite aromatic don't be disappointed when that's what you get!! This Cohiba is an extremely pleasant, lite aro. Not overly sweet nor cloyingly sticky. Any time of day I can stuff my pipe full of this stuff and go about my business! Stays lit, soft, sweet, not fussy and a very satisfying way to spend time w/my pipe during the day

Extraordinarily Pleasant
Extra ordinarily pleasant almost sounds like a contradiction!! It ain't in this case!! Soft, subtlety sweet and honest!! No hidden agenda....sweet Virginia rounded off w/a great cavendish .. Lightly flavored w/a great room note. Nothin complex..just a big mouthful of honest flavor!! I finish my day w/Night Cap but I wake my tastebuds up gently with this most Extraordinarilly Pleasant smoke.

Smoooth?! An over used descriptor but iffn th shoe fits !! Loads of character n flavor but a softness I really appreciate after 55 yrs w/a pipe n my teeth! Loads of tobacco satisfaction when compared w/many other aros. This un's moved to the top of my pile ,,,

Simply deelish
Simple, straight forward , HIGH grade stuff!! Th flavors were just what I expected with a slight Mac twist! Little pricey so I save it for a treat!!

Edward G. Robinson - Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend 1.5oz
Real Ol' Standby
I hadn't smoked any of this stuff since th early 70's.. Last winter I ordered a small tin , smoked it and ordered a big can ! I can't smoke a bowl of this w/out th accompanying nostalgia not to mention th real enjoyment of a well crafted blend ! Soft , tasty n extremely easy on one's mouth!!

I'm really digging this blend!!! It's really hard for me to accurately describe as there are so many different things I like ! I ain't wild about most aromatics but this 1 provides such a satisfying tobacco experience !! Big tobacco flavor w/subtle hints of citrus, honey and almond wafting in and out!!! Soft n gentle n sublime...I try not 2 have anything else going on. Multi-faceted but not really complex !! Whether you're a Mac fan or not this is a good 'un !!!

Never had th pleasure of smokin this n th past but I guarantee you I'm gonna make up for that !! Just good fun from th 1st match rite thru th dottle! A lot of Lat blends , for me, kinda washout mid-bowl n I gotta start huntin for a good reason to finish . Not so this!! Fresh character developes all th way in to th dottle. Don't kno what th sauce is but it never dominates, just adds some tasty intrigue !! 5 stars +

Taste is SOOOO dang subjective!! I've made up my mind 2 write no reviews unless they're positive. That bein said ... This is th blend I've been lookin 4 and I've done a lot of lookin ,,,there's spice that jumps out and follows you all th way, th Perique is always easy 2 find. Virginia sweetness that's softened and mellowed . Complexity if you want it! Good and true all th way thru th dottle? I'm plum tickled ....

Dan Tobacco - Blue Note 50g

Sweet but never loses the essence of its tobacco components!! Very mild, low nic content but still satisfying! The dottle is very much a Virginia experience. Not complex but not one dimensional ! Soft, friendly and very satisfying...what's not 2 like ?!?!

Taste is so dang subjective! That said, I've been lookin for good aros!! I'll smoke anything if it hits me ,Vapers, Lat blends & etc. once in while I stumble on somethin, for my taste, that's a significant ' cut above' !! This's one of those ! The first thing noticed is the quality and it is noticeable! Soft , sweet , balanced, everything you'd expect from a good aro but here's where the patience part starts...about mid-bowl the Virginias become more dominant and as you sip your way into the dottle they pick up strength!! Sweet , natural and tasty! Patience...this uns' worth th ride !!!

I've smoked buckets of Revalation over th years and miss it. Until Now!! Epiphany incorporates EVERYTHING I liked about th original and soooo much more..a subtle lingering sweetness well into th dottle..th perfect condimental touch of Latakia that never dominates but adds dimension ALL th way thru th bowl. Revalation was unique and Epiphany definitely holds to that tradition but adds a level of quality that's jumps out immediately upon firing up! It's like finding an old friend that inherited a lot of money in his absence. I'm plum tickled!!!!

Mac Baren - Original Choice 3.5oz
Strength of Character!!
My all time favorite!! Extremely mild but maintains loads of flavor ALL the way into the dottle. There's sauce for sure but it never obscures a rich blend of cavendish, Virginias and burley. Consistent day in and day out. It's the one l can always count on after some of the ' complex' blends have washed out . What it lacks in nicotine is more than made up for in strength of character!!

E. Hoffman Company - Spilman Mixture 2.5oz

This stuff is just good! Lots of balance, certainly not complicated and it's a great substitute when you run out of American Patriot!! There's a little more punch from the Latakia than A.P. but not enuff to knock it off balance and the price ain't nothin to complain about! Just good stuff....

Goes to show you don't have to take out a loan to get real quality!! I love this stuff and it'd be perty dang handy if they could keep it in stock!!! I left my fon for 1 day and when I got back there were only 3 pouches left!!! Th Latakia is always present but it NEVER takes over!! The Virginias are soft and sweet . No edges just nice, friendly , bite free and round! I love this stuff!!!!!

Balance !!!
Latakia is a great component but I find in so many blends these days, it's soooo overbearing !! It's a bit like going to an anglo Mexican restaurant and finding everything being dominated by cilantro !! Not so th Solent mixture. The Latakia is always there but in a delightfully balanced way.This old timer is classic Mac and is great all th way into the dottle. Be patient ...there can be some real treats when you get there!

Rich and satisfying !! The Latakia starts up front and doesn't fade into muddiness as you progress deep into the bowl. The flavors stay fresh and defined well into th dottle . I want nothing else going on when I get into a bowl of this splendid blend.. It deserves nothing less !!

This's really the good stuff ! Right from the get go you're hit with BIG flavor ! All the superlatives..rich, balanced, textured, layered, smooth and etc.!! Flavors developed thru the bowl and left me scratching around the dottle for something to light! 5 Stars can be over used but not in this case!!!

Gooey! Over flavored! I don't need or want my tobacco hidden under all those extraneous flavors! I'm always looking for a good ARO but this ain't it and let me qualify, for me!

My favorite since the mid 60's was Mac's Lat.Blend. When it was discontinued I thought about quitting but praise be for Latakia Flake! It's more of everything with less heat on the tongue! It'll take you into the dottle scratching around for something to light!,
