Toscano - 1492 Anno Domini (2 Pack)
My favorite of Toscano
My favorite out of the Toscano lineup! Great burn and pleasant taste
G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Normally not a big fan of English blends, but this one did it for me! GL Pease hit it out of the park!
Tampers & Tools - Pipe Nail
Cheap and Functional
This little pipe nail is cheap and is tougher than it looks. I always add a couple extra to my orders!
A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Perfect with Age
Fresh out of the tin, Escudo isn't much to write home about, but with a little age (even under a year) this tobacco transforms into a great Va/Per. I will always have a few tins aging in my cellar. This is one of my favorites!
Reiner - Blend No. 71 100g
This is a great summer tobacco. The tobacco is very mild and makes it perfect for a hot summer day. This tobacco in my mind is the premium version of Orlik (as others have alluded).
Seattle Pipe Club - Mississippi River Special Reserve 4oz
Sweet and Smoky
This was my first Seattle Pipe Club blend and it was an amazing experience. A perfect mixture of sweet from the virginias and smoky from the latakia. I highly recommend this blend!
Dunhill - Nightcap 50g
It took me a while to try this tobacco, but I'm happy I did before this blend is gone. It's great, smooth, silky, and smokey. I'll be buying more soon!
McClelland - 5100 - Red Cake
Slow Smoke Competition
We recently used this blend for our Pipe Club (Baltimore Briar) Slow Smoke Competition and it was perfect. It burned relatively slow, cool, and tasted sweet. I would highly recommend!
McClelland - M27 - Three Cherry Blend
My favorite cherry
I'm not a huge aromatic smoker, but I wanted to try something cherry. I've had a couple of cherry blends in the past and many tasted too artificial. This blend was perfect and tasted natural. My go to for a cherry blend from now on.
Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night
Just smoked this blend for the first time last night. Here in Maryland, snow is on the ground and it's been cold. This was a great smoke while sitting in the cold and relaxing. I kept going back for more and can't wait to get home and smoke this blend again. Definitely an all day smoke.
Cornell & Diehl - Corn Cob Pipe and A Button Nose 2oz
One of my favorite aromatics
Don't judge this tobacco on the first or even second smoke. After smoking 5 bowls of this tobacco it becomes more and more unique. I love the flavor and after taste. Also it doesn't cause tongue bite. I'll be ordering more before the holidays end.
Arturo Fuente - Hemingway Best Seller
I was a pretty big cigar smoker before I got into pipes. I've tried many different types and brands of cigars in the process, but this Arturo Fuente cigar is my favorite. It's not very intense and doesn't leave a strong taste in your mouth, but it's pleasant and it is everything I expect an excellent cigar to be. This is my go to in the cigar world.
Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
One of my favorites
This is a perfect summer time smoke. Orlik made me fall in love with perique even more and I can't get enough of this sweet, tangy goodness. Definitely a must try for any perique fan.
Captain Black - Cherry 1.5oz
This was an okay over the counter tobacco but just too much tongue bite to deal with. There are too many other better aromatics out there. However for the price, it is worth a try to see how your palate feels about it.
Larsen - 1864 Perfect Mixture 100g
This aromatic has a lot of potential if you let it sit out and dry for about 30 minutes or so. The taste is sweet but not overwhelming and the smell is very appealing. The only negative to this tobacco is it does not stay lit very well, even after drying time. All in all, I would give it a shot if you like aromatics
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 100g
My new favorite!
This is my new number 1 favorite pipe tobacco. Stays lit well, smells great, tastes smoky but it is not overwhelming. The whisky adds a wonderful taste to the tobacco. I'll be buying more of this for my cellar and trying other Frog Morton blends in the future. Bravo McClelland, Bravo.
Low Country - Santee 2oz
This is a pleasant smoke and tastes tangy and sweet. The only issues are that it burns pretty hot and takes many lights to stay lit. I enjoy it enough to smoke the rest but I won't be buying more.
Mac Baren - HH Latakia Flake 1.75oz
I now love Latakia!
I tried a couple of blends containing Latakia and I hated them. However, I decided to give Latakia one last try. The tin note smelled like Latakia should, smoky like a barbecue. After lighting the tobacco, the smoke was very pleasant, smooth, and the Latakia was not the main player (which I enjoyed). All of the various tobaccos blended perfectly and I didn't want it to end. Luckily, I can buy a 1lb bag and it never has to end ;)
Dunhill - Royal Yacht 50g
Not a fan
This blend is nice to start off with but after 1/3 of the bowl, the tobacco starts smelling and tasting like cigarettes. Plus, the nicotine is ridiculous. Usually I don't feel much of an effect from nicotine, but holy crap, this kicked my butt. Plenty of other better blends out there. Don't waste your time.
Dunhill - Navy Rolls 50g
This was my first experience with perique. The first two times I tried it, I failed miserably lighting and keeping this tobacco lit. However, that was user error and once I let the tobacco dry out about 15 minutes and I crumbled up the coins, this tobacco was great and stayed lit for a long time. Very enjoyable on a snowy, winter day with a cup of coffee. I didn't notice bite and the N factor was mild.
Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening 2oz
I really like maple syrup and this tobacco delivered. It wasn't overwhelming or too strong, just right. Leaves a pleasant taste in your mouth and you smell pretty good after the smoke. I would definitely recommend if you like anything maple syrup.
