Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Latakia
This was my first time smoking straight Latakia. I was reluctant to try it, but wow! The delicate, floral, grassy and woodsy taste had a slight sweetness. I could not help but be reminded of the essence of a sweet woodsy men's cologne that I used to wear. I don't think mixing this one is necessary, I will smoke it straight. Great first impression from this Aromatic smoker. The mildness, and no bite really surprised me on this one!
Newminster - No.23 Blackberry Brandy
Wow, what a wonderful blend!
I had hoped that this would be pretty good, but it exceeded all expectations. An amazing blackberry taste, right from the start. Smooth, rich, sweet and creamy smoke, with great flavor. I wanted to smoke this all afternoon. I can't wait to light up my second bowl of this delicious blend. The lingering room note was outstanding even an hour after smoking.
Newminster - No.47 Danish Black
Rich, Sweet & Creamy smoke
My first bowl was really sweet, rich, thick and creamy smooth. Very mild. I picked up slight hints of caramel, but not as much as I would have liked. No particular flavor stood out, but I can say that it is just a good tasting sweet aromatic smoke, pleasant in every way. The room note is very pleasant. Burned real nice, no bite of any kind.
McClelland - 400 - Creme Caramel
Wonderful, creamy caramel!
Exactly as it says. Very nice smooth creamy smoke with a great caramel flavor, and a room note that is off the charts! Very nice smooth, ricjh, and sweet. I ordered 1 oz t try it out, and after a couple smokes, I just ordered 1/2 pound. Superb!
