Just started smoking a pipe again, after a 25 yr hiatus. The mouth is delicate but maturing. I prefer English blends, and used to love latakia. I still love the stuff.

Nice and Mellow
The first time I tried this, my impression was 'Meh.' On the second try, I decided that I liked it. I now think it is a very nice, mellow smoke, for those times I feel like it. So, I now have it in my collection for just those times.

McClelland - Personal Reserve: British Woods 100g
Wonderful
This, along with Scottish Woods. is one of my favorites. Wonderful, tasty, mellow smoke.

McClelland - Collector: 3 Oaks Syrian 50g

I love this stuff. It has a nice smoky flavor that lasts. It's quite mild, and, now, one of my favorites. Their regular 3 Oaks is great too. I do wish McClelland would produce 1 pound amounts of a lot of their products. They may well be my favorite tobacco manufacturer.

Upon opening the tin, I was met with a powerful odor, like a mix of Bazooka Bubble Gum and an industrial solvent. I was prepared to dislike it. However, after lighting up (it was a bugger to get lit - pretty moist). Once lit, however, it burned all the way to the bottom. Once I tasted it, I fell in love. This is wonderful stuff, smooth and very different from the English blends I usually smoke. It has a unique flavor - very pleasant.

These jars are quite attractive. Now, that I live in AZ, things dry out quickly. So, I have to moisten the sponge daily, but it does work quite well — not as well as a mason jar, but it looks a lot nicer.

After a 25 yr. hiatus, I started smoking a pipe again. In the old days I fell in love with Penzance. It was a LOT easier o get in those days. Again, it's still my favorite. It is a hell of a lot harder to get now. I got lucky last time. In between classes I checked my email and saw the notice. I called immediately and was able to get a bag. The customer service guy told me that they had received a small shipment. He also told me that they expected to run out in 1/2 hour. Good timing; I got very lucky. Nobody else has it at all.

I can smoke inside again! Well, not really.
These actually work. No smoke odor, and they smell pretty good. Well, I've been banished again.It doesn't eliminate smoke odor while I'm smoking. The people in the next apartment complained. I live in an old building, so the smoke odor travels quickly next door.

Get the candle instead.
First, this did not come with a burner, so I had to get one. Second, it smells like soap - cheap soap. It did not work for me. I think I'll give it away to someone I don't like. The candles work, and are much better.
