Peterson - My Mixture 965 50g
Same as before
I smokes this side by side with some 2015 a Dunhill. It’s the same stuff, besides a little more nuance and age on the 2015 tin. This is very much true to the original, and I am so happy it’s back. Reviews that say it’s not the same have to be missing something. Comparing directly, one to the other is spot on a match.

Heavy and Complex
This is a bouquet of rich, heavy earthy flavors with creamy sweetness. The bars are quite dense, and when sliced against the grain, crumbled really well. This was easy to rub out, and fills the bowl with nice flaky pieces. The tin note is very much like the taste. I would recommend filling the bowl around two thirds as full as you normally do, as this burns really slowly. A brilliant welcome treat when you want a full bodied, full flavor, Latakia based smoke.

Outstanding Change of Pace
This is a well done aero for the smoker that likes to taste the tobacco in the blend, but wants a shift in pace from the big English blends. Tin note is like a savory beechnut and vanilla bourbon. Not cloying at all, and quite pleasant on the initial light, subtle sweetness to the VA. Room note is easy on the nose, and could even be called pleasant to a non smoker. No burn issues, little dottle left at the bottom. Very pleasant non biting blend with some good vanilla creamy sweetness in the background. Strong work Mr. Pease
