Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop 2oz
Very dry, zero perique, NOT nutty
Opened a 5 mo. tin and smoked in an unsmoked Claudio Cavicchi Brown Sandblasted Bent Dublin. Tasted like a roll my own cigarette. Very dry, found zero perique and no nuttiness that is found in burley. One color of light tan ribbon and very one dimensional. I sipped this ever so lightly hoping to get any and every of taste but to no avail but big nicotine hit and I can smoke Bayou Morning Flake and get less of a nicotine buzz. I could have smoked a rolled up dollar bill and get more flavor. Total flop! BOO!

Cornell & Diehl - Pirate Kake 2oz
Relaxing
Opened 3 month old tin and found the dryness/wetness to be perfect. Surprised that some found Latakia to be overwhelming as I found it just a little over medium in strength. The smokiness and creaminess was very addictive. For me similar to Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding Special Reserve without the tanginess. Got a little soapy in the middle then leveled back out to tasting more Latakia than smokiness and creaminess. Smoked in Dunhill Shell Briar (5109) 2004. Definitely now in my rotation.

Samuel Gawith - 1792 Flake 50g

Rattray's - Marlin Flake 100g
Outstanding, just outstanding
Enjoyable fresh but popped a top of 14 yr. old I cellared and it was the smell was was so wonderful but the taste and smoothness was so incredibly fantastic. I walked back in to the house from my study with a huge smile on my face I didn’t even realize I was wearing until my wife asks why I looked so content and pleased. Wow!
