G. L. Pease - The Virginia Cream 2oz
Re-visit 1-1/2 years later
Tin date 10-1-2015. I reviewed this blend before an figured that I would give it some age to see if it improved. Well it did not, in fact its worse than when originally opened. Bitter, sour, acrid and plain old nasty, unfortunately I have two more unopened tins of this stuff. Based on the positive reviews below I believe I simply got a bad batch because I never had a bad Pease blend.

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Hated it at first.
Did not care for this at first opening, tucked it away for about one year and its a winner. My go to in this style is Robert Mcconnell folded flake but this Escudo is growing on me.

Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
Not bad.
Relatively smooth with some pepper notes, seems to burn hot. Bought mine when it was $9.99 a tin, now $16.15 no thanks as there are better cheaper options out there. Escudo comes to mind.

Samuel Gawith - Grousemoor 50g
Worth a try.
Golden yellow tobacco with a unique scent, kinda lemony but with soapy perfume dirt note. Taste-wise, its good but in the different category. The topping is familiar tasting and will ghost a pipe so this is a dedicated cob blend for me. Tends to burn hot.

Tabac De La Semois - La Brumeuse 3.5oz
Odd duck.
Love the back story on the tobacco but taste-wise it just isn't my thing. I tend to break in new pipes with it because is seems to be a very neutral tobacco.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Good stuff
Great quality at a great price. Good balanced English with no surprises. Very close in structure to Lane Crown and Presbyterian.

Dan Tobacco - Devil's Holiday 50g
Interesting fruit flavor!
Great quality, nice sweet and tart fruit flavor but will ghost a pipe in short order so dedicate a cob pipe for it.

Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
Must try
This is a very balanced well constructed blend similar to Lane Crown Achievement. No surprises or shockers just a good smoke.

Lane Limited - Crown Achievement 1.75oz
Nice mixture
Great quality out of the tin and smokes terrific. Taste is on the mellow side of the latakia blends of similar construction. Cant go wrong with this blend, no complaints and will buy again.

G. L. Pease - The Virginia Cream 2oz
Bad tin maybe?
Did not detect any aromatic qualities upon opening tin, smelled like rich Virginia tobacco. My tin had an overpowering harsh pepper note on the retro-hale akin to the same feeling you get when you eat too much wasabi. I'm going to let it chill out awhile in my cellar to hopefully mellow out with some time on it. My tin(s) are all dated 10-1-15.

Dan Tobacco - Milonga 50g
Very good!
Great tasting quality aromatic in the vanilla/caramel family. No goop or chemical taste. Kinda like 1Q only better.

CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Very Good Aromatic
This is a must try very tasty Irish creme/vanilla blend with no bite and burns well. Smoked it right out of tin with no issues.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Black 3.5oz
Good stuff
This stuff is a great change of pace from my traditional English blends. Very well done aromatic and not over the top cased. It is worth a try.

Reiner - Blend No. 12 50g
Ok Aromatic
Great quality overall. Not a gooey over cased drug store type. Burns well but weak in the Vanilla arena, pretty mild overall.

Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
OK at best
This blend is Ok, mine tasted soapy out of the tin. Dried some out and smoked in a new cob and it was a fairly decent smoke. Not a big Wow factor here.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 100g
I'm missing something on this one.
Folks, I just don't get this mixture at all, it gets a two because it is still tobacco. Smells like lawn clippings, burns well and is very one sided taste wise. To me this is on par with your typical drug store non aromatic blends.
