Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Light, All day, Affordable
I will not buy another tin of this tobacco. I enjoyed it. It is of high quality. It smells nice. It burns well. But it does not have enough flavor for me. I would rather smoke Westminster. This is of course coming from someone who smokes one bowl a day. That one bowl therefore has to be very flavorful. This blend is more of an all day smoke. If that is more your style you may like this blend.
G. L. Pease - Westminster 2oz
Epitome of English
When I want to give newer pipe smokers a classic english to sample I let them try Westminster. I am not a veteran pipe smoker, but this is sort of the bar for me as far as english blends go. Westminster has a smoky, sour, and musty flavor profile. It is very flavorful but not strong (in nicotine), so could easily be an all day smoke. I know it may sound strange to say musty but the smoke tastes very natural/earthy, almost leathery. Everyone should try this blend at least once.
G. L. Pease - Haddo's Delight 2oz
Dry Fruit
I bought this because I wanted a heavy perique blend. I am not a perique lover by any means but I wanted to develop my palate so I could decipher perique in other blends. I guess you could say this was a training blend. Little did I know that I would come to fully enjoy it. The tin note has a very full aroma. It smells of liquor and dried fruit. That aroma translates into the smoke. The smoke is intense and I therefore smoke it in small bowls. This is a nice change of pace when I don't want a latakia blend.
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
My favorite Blend
This is the tobacco I reach for the most often. This is the tobacco I let people try who have never smoked a pipe. And this is the tobacco that I plan to stock up on if God forbid pipe tobacco sky rockets in price due to taxation. I would describe the flavor profile as mostly sweet and smoky. It isn't the most complex or dynamic tobacco I have ever smoked. But when you draw from your pipe you will get a very sweet and smoky flavor instantly hitting your tongue. It leaves a wonderful room note. It burns really well and performs in all of my pipes.

Sweet, Tangy, Woody
I knew I needed to order more of this tobacco during the pre-light. As soon as I put a match to this leaf it got my attention. It was sweet and tangy. I am assuming this is from the virginias and perique. Once I got it well lit I could start noticing the latakia coming through. The rest of the bowl was a back and forth flavor between sweet, tangy, and smoky. I really enjoy this blend and have stumbled upon a 3 year old tin that was phenomenal. I mention this for those of you who like to cellar tobacco. I highly recommend this blend.
Samuel Gawith - Chocolate Flake 50g
Samuel Gawith Cacao Flake
This is a slow burning, flavorful, and unique tobacco. The chocolate in the blend is more of a raw natural cocoa flavor. The smoky latakia and nutty burley work well together. The cocoa flavor compliments the virginias. All in all a wonderful tobacco. This may not please those who like heavily cased tobaccos. However if you enjoy cross blends with flavor, you should give this a try.
