Mac Baren - HH Latakia Flake 1.75oz
Good for all year
I smoke this pretty often at all times of the year-more obviously as it gets cooler. It gives a velvet creamy smoke for the duration of the smoke with flavors of smokey vanilla with spice for the first half of the bowl. It doesn't taste like the traditional Latakia forward blend in this regard. The flavor then retreats to almost a traditional Virginia blend. After the first half of the bowl, it will require several relights until the end. And my experience has been that, at the bottom of the bowl, some lattice of charcoal-like tobacco strands remain whether folded and stuffed or rubbed out. Hence the less-than-perfect rating. A little bit of age enhances the flavor profile. Overall, a great tobacco and would highly recommend.
