Tampers & Tools - John Aylesbury Red & Black Pipe Tool
5 Stars
I liked my last tamper but the thread on the pick stripped and wouldn't stay in so I went for a different style. This is much weightier than I expected but in a good way. It feels very solid and it's own weight is often enough to tamp. The most impressive part is how well the pick and scraper snap into position. This is an extremely well built tamper.

My Go To English
I go through phases of aromatics and English blends and this has become my #1 English blend now that McClelland is gone (cry!). It's very smooth and the amount of Latakia is just right. I thought I might miss the perique, but I think that's what makes this blend special.

WOW - A Flavour Bomb!
Yes it's wet and yes it's actually a little sticky but this has to be one of the most flavorful aromatics I've ever tried. It takes a little extra effort to light but once it's going it burns really well with a nice thick smoke. Surprisingly it doesn't have that chewing gum effect of losing all the flavour before your done. It keeps it's flavour right to end. I'll be reordering this!

A Very Pleasant Surprise!
This was another of my random tobacco picks based solely on the label and what a great surprise it was! I normally smoke English blends and I don't fond this too aromatic compared to other aromatics. It has a nice smell in the tin mostly of the Cavendish and Burley with a very slight vanilla or Plumb smell. It packs and burns really well. The smoke is just like the smell and there is zero bite. I'd call it a light to medium in strength. Definitely something you could smoke more than one bowl of in a day. I love finding hidden gems like this in my Smokingpipes.com orders!

McClelland - Syrian Latakia: Super Balkan 50g
A Great Suprise
I bought this after doing a Tobacco Locator for Tinned with Latakia and Perique. I knew nothing of it, but thought I'd give it a try. Wow, am I glad I did. If, like me, you like other McClelland blends like Frog Morton and Old Dog you need to give this a try. The initial smell of the tobacco in the tin was nothing too special, but as soon as I lit it up I was pleasantly surprised. Frog Morton and Old Dog have a certain sweetness to it's smell and they are a smooth smoke. This struck me because it was like the other two, but didn't have that sweetness. It was a very cool smoke that lasted almost to the very end. This is definitely going on my favorites list and I'll be buying more right away.

My Go-to Tobacco
I'm a dog guy and I really bought this because it had a dog on it and I liked Frog Morton. I fill a Peterson B42 pipe with this and I'm in heaven. If you like English blends, and especially Frog Morton, you'll enjoy this. It's a cool smoke that I can easily exhale out through my nose and catch that wonderful blend of Latakia and Xanthis. Definitely one that can smoked all day.
