About Me:
Pipe smoker who as a really beautiful beard. (But not on this photo. )

Newminster - No.400 Superior Navy Flake
Aging tobacco
I'm not hard on virginias, but I will buy that on occasions, maybe for cellaring to mellow it. It bite a little on the tongue, but it's a smooth smoke with hay/sugar flavor.

Tobacco Samples - Tom Eltang English .5oz
Good
Received a sample that I picked randomly, and it's seriously good. I don't know what taste Katirini, but for ure it's an english blend with a good latakia taste, but not strong enough to not end the bowl. Give it a try!

Sutliff - Honey & Chocolate 1.5oz
Amazing
I was tired of aromatics, but the only thing that I had a home was aromatics. I said to myself I needed to try this anyway. So, I opened the tin and the smell was so delicious I was drooling. The fist few puffs are ordinary, but when you take the time to let it cool of a bit then sip slowly, you get the best taste ever. Good with a big glass of milk, it's for sure my new desert for a time. Sutliff conquered me with Pumpkin Spice, and now with Honey and Chocolate, I'm sure if your looking for a great aromatic, choose in the Sutliff selection.

Mac Baren - Modern Virginia Loose Cut 100g
Better smoke in a cigarette tube
I received my sample and reserved it for later. Opened it three days aways and its dry as the Acatama desert. Bites on tongue. And the taste is really more like a cigarette with a too subtle fruits flavor... mango and citrus maybe? So, I rolled it in a cigarette tube, taste really better like that and don't bite on the tongue that way. I don't think I will buy that thing again. There is plenty of better aromatic on the market.

Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
Sufficient
Good taste, cheap tobacco. It's more a beginner tobacco. Preferred the gold one. The room is more acid.

Captain Black - Gold 1.5oz
It's popular, and not for nothing
For my concern, it's the best cheap tobacco you can purchase, and the more easily findable here in Québec. Taste like vanilla and caramel, something sugary at all. Provide a cool smoke and rares tongue bites. A every day smoke for those who like more aromatic tobacco. The room is pleasant and sugary too.

Cornell & Diehl - Green River Vanilla
Vanilla and cream
If Cornell and Diehl are offering a lot of fruit and cream flavored tobacco, this one could simply be named Vanilla And Cream too. Providing a cool and smooth smoke, its taste like vanilla ice cream. A full bowl of it may be hard to finish, but its definitely one of my best base for aromatic blend. give some sweet taste to Captain Black white or help me to fish a bowl of Autumn Evening. Try it, you'll like it. If you like vanilla, of course.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Sweet Black Cherry Twist
A waste of quality tobacco
It's indeed a great tobacco, but the topping is screwing the taste of it. Imagine mixing maraschino cherry juice with a cough syrup cherry flavored and you exactly got the taste of ''Black cherry''. But I will surely give a try to the Black Irish X ropes and maybe coconut, because it's surely a high grade tobacco, perfect to feel nicotine buzz and to relax after a too long, boring day.

Cornell & Diehl - Irish Blessing
Nice aromatic
It's for the smooth coffee lovers. It's actually taste like coffee, mint (but not much as I expected), honey and sometimes like cocoa. Definitely something sweet for cold morning or end off the day by the fireplace. An Afterheight will give this smoke the hint of mint missing and mix perfectly.

Cornell & Diehl - Apricots and Cream
Sufficent
I tought it would taste more the apricot, but actually is more a vanilla/brandy combo. You can taste better the aprocit when you sniff the tobacco to smell it. But, if you really take your time to taste it, i'd say its like eating apricots and peaches jam in a big bowl of vanilla yogurt. Don't expect to have a nicotine buzz from that, its too sweet, unless you smoke three bowls, one after an other.

Sutliff - Pumpkin Spice
Excellent!
A good tobacco who taste really the pumpkin pie. A must for the cold season. Better when smoked slowly.

Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Sugar...
Smell beautiful in the first place, when you open the bag, smell good the sugarshack, but when its come to aroma... it's a little bit more deceiving. I was able to taste the maple a bit, most of all its was just sugar I tasted. It burnt well top to the end, smell good and taste simply, for my palate, the cavendish with a topping of cheap maple syrup. Maybe i'll try it with pumpkin spice from Sutliff to get a real autumn flavored smoke.

Newminster - No.403 Superior Round Slices
Hard, but tasteful
May be a little too hard on the nicotine for a beginner. Anyway, its was something great to smoke, better when dried a little. I was please, because it's was way better that what I was used too, and it's tasted dried figs and dried raisins sometimes along the way to the bottom of the bowl, sometimes it's was juste more smoky. My girlfriend said it's was smelling like a campfire, and in fact this tobacco leave an odor of soot everywhere around. Was good mixed with a little bit of Captain Black Gold to sugarize the thing, but alone this tobacco is a perfect to end the day after a work of hard label in hot temperatures.
