LAKELAND!
Be warned this has the Lakeland essence, the same note that's in Ennerdale. Like Latakia, Lakeland and Deertongue are something that should never be left out of a blend description. This is a good tobacco and even has a lovely spice that I associate with Tilbury and if you like Lakeland then this is the bees 🐝 knees. Personally I'm going to throw it in the cellar and forget about it because if one day my tastes change in preference to that unique English stank I'll be glad to have this on hand.
Esoterica - Tilbury 8oz
Subtile. Complex. Challenging. Rewarding.
This and Germain Brown Flake are my two favorite Va's. This tobacco taught me to tease a Va blend. For me this blend will taste like hot air if ignore or it will taste like a well spiced holiday pie if I pay attention to it and I do.
Dunhill - Ye Olde Signe 50g
Good flavor in the background.
There were some good flavors in here but for me personally there was a caustic-ashy taste in the back of my mouth like the kind left by some cheap cigars. For me that displeasure dominated the smoke. I smoked it in a skinny conical chambered pipe that I reserve for teasing flavors out of Va blends.
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Meh
Was expecting Frog Morton with and aro tone. It was kinda meh with a nice aro.
Wessex - Brigade Campaign Dark Flake 50g
Sweet and tangy.
I've been smoking a pipe for about a month now and this is by far my favorite. Very flavorful.
Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
What are they smoking?
Smelled like and Expo marker and smoked like one too. I did taste the "carmel" and "vanilla" in same sense that "grape" soda tastes like grapes...

- ► I've discovered that aromatics (top notes, smokiness of Latakia, and other flavor compounds) can pass through the gasket material on mason jar lids and all vacuum sealed tins.
