Tampers & Tools - 8deco Bamboo Tamper
Inexpensive and prefect.
I have several different tampers but this one is my favorite. At 5 inches and made of bamboo and brass, it feels nice in hand. The tamper head is half inch diameter with small holes. Works very well. Its getting a nice patina from all the rubbing I give it.

Tampers & Tools - Pipe Nail
Nice tamper
Nice little tamper, has Brigham logo on the side. Lightweight aluminum. Could use some filing down on the seams. 2 3/4 inches long, and the base is 3/8 inch square. For a dollar, yes you want one.

Cornell & Diehl - Epiphany
Epiphany
Well balanced. Very tasty, plum tin note. Complex layered flavours. Great anytime of day.

Sutliff - Z50 Black Cordial
Black Cordial
This blend is very much as described. I find the cherry to be light but well balanced with the vanilla. Another Sutliff winner.

Sutliff - 706 - Tropical Sunset
Tropical Sunset
Nice aroma and a zesty peppery taste. Pleasant room note. Not very sweet but not bitter, not overly done either.

Lane Limited - RHQ-3
RHQ-3
Ok generic scent and sweet flavour, but Lane has many blends that I prefer to this.

Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Autumn Evening
I get a caramel, maple syrup note and a sweet smokey flavour. Reminds me very much of Sutliff Crème Brûlé but the added smokiness makes it more complex. Will buy more.

Peterson - Irish Cask 50g
Irish Oak
I get a woodsy, peppery, red wine taste. On the spicy side. The sherry casks smooth out the flavor and add a little sweetness. Reminds me of Mac Baren Solent Mixture.

Sutliff - 208 Apple
Apple?
No apple taste at all.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Scotch Flake
Scotch Flake
A proper flake and all, but there is nothing in the flavor that will get me to buy more. I compare it to McClelland Fragrant Mature Cake, which is a bit milder, but has more flavor.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Ennerdale Flake
A nice change of pace.
I like the aroma described as perfume and/or fruit. It reminds me very much to Erinmore Flake which I like also. Smokes well with little fuss.

Lane Limited - Black Raspberry
Very enjoyable.
Very present pouch note and the flavour is there. Not too sweet. Smokes clean and easy.

Sutliff - Z92 Vanilla Custard
Very Vanilla
The pouch note and taste is VERY vanilla custard. To my taste, overdone cause I also like to get tobacco flavors.

McClelland - Nine 2 Five
9 2 5
A very nice medium strength yet flavour full blend. Nothing in the taste that would make it stand out, except maybe that, you can get more flavour than other medium blends.

Sutliff - B26 Dark Honey & Berry Cavendish
Not as described.
From the description I was hoping for so much more. This blend is very mild, but to my palet the flavours are barely perceivable. Room aroma is also very light.

Sutliff - Tobacco Galleria: Wild Cherry
Where is the cherry?
The tin note is a funky scent and I can't detect any cherry in the taste. Maybe I got a bad batch.

McClelland - M27 - Three Cherry Blend
Cherry done right.
The taste of cherry is present, but not overdone. You still taste tobacco. Burns really well, clean and dry. Less sweet than TK-6.

Sutliff - 206 Honey
Honey ???
This is a pleasent mild blend with a light sweet taste. Not really convinced the flavour is honey, but still enjoyable. The room note is toasted marshmallow. I like Crème Brûlée very much, Honey is not as sweet but somewhat similar.

McClelland - 2000 - Fragrant Matured Cake
Fragrant Mature Cake
I get a chocolate tin note. The taste is a medium strength virginia with a natural tobacco something I can't pinpoint but is satisfying to the bottom of the bowl. Smokes clean and dry, very smooth. My wife tells me the room note is a pleasant manly scent.

Cornell & Diehl - Apricots and Cream
Nice
From the description I was hoping for more flavor. The room note is more vanilla. The apricot brandy is lightly present in the taste.

Sutliff - Creme Brulee
Crème brûlée
I enjoy Molto Dolce very much. This is the closest I've found available in bulk. Will buy more.

Cornell & Diehl - Green River Vanilla
Vanille & Cream
Nice flavor, not over the top, bruns well, but nothing that convinced me to buy more.

Tampers & Tools - Tobacco Pipe Wind Cap
Impressed!
Very effective, and even more impressed considering the price.

Cornell & Diehl - Dark Cherry Cavendish
Where is the cherry?
Nice middle of the road blend, but I can barely taste the cherries, if at all.

Dunhill - Aperitif 50g
Not impressed.
Starts out interesting as the cavendish adds a bit of sweetness to a familiar english blend flavour, but turns bitter half way down the bowl. Next time I'll stick with 965 or Nightcap.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Mild english blend.
Mild and mellow describes this blend. The whisky is in the tin note, but barely present in the taste. The stave cube is a gimmick. I did enjoy this blend but it had nothing that would convince me to purchase again.

Dan Tobacco - Sweet Vanilla Honeydew 50g
Crowd pleaser.
Nice blend, not to sweet and the vanilla is light. The virginia is present. The room note is a crowd pleaser.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Deep Hollow 50g
Very light aromatic.
The casing is just light enough to add an interesting dimension to the Virgina. I get a green apple presence. I will buy again.

Dunhill - Flake 50g
Not worth the extra $$$
Nice, but not worth the premium price. I'll stick with Orlik Golden Sliced.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Kendal Black Cherry 50g
Mild flavour.
A nice quality tobacco, but the cherry flavour is on the mild side. Nothing that really sets it apart.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Red
Good anytime.
This is an easy blend to enjoy. The flavours are light. Nothing to send you raving, but still a safe blend.

Lane Limited - TK-6
TK-6
Nice cherry flavour, not overdone and yet still well balanced with tobacco taste.

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed
Full bodied & wounderful
When I first open the bag I thought it looked and felt too dry. I filled my pipe and lit up a bowl of wonderful, meaty flavour. This is the only tobacco that after finishing a bowl, I feel satisfied. The flavour reminds me of a dark maduro cigar. This will be my full flavour, sans lakatia, go to for sure.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 100g
Bad packaging.
I really enoy this tobacco, and is one of the few that I actually reorder. So for content I give it 5 stars. I have always order the 50g tin, and this is a review of the 100g packaging. Rectangular flakes don't fit well in a round tin. They're just crammed in there and just break apart trying to get them out. If you like your flakes to come out of the tin neat, them you should stay away from the 100g round tin.

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Escudo
Nice, but I prefer the added touch of sweetness in LBF.

Sutliff - Maple Street 1.5oz
Maple Street
Great tin note, maple and rum, well cut, but flavours are barely perceivable.

Samuel Gawith - Fire Dance Flake 50g
Firedance
Fantastic tin note, and the flakes look like quality tobacco. Unfortunatetly the flavours don't come through for me.

Mac Baren - Modern Virginia Loose Cut 100g
Mild but tasty.
I'm a big fan of Mac Baren offerings and Modern Virginia is right up there. I get a mild, sweet virginia tobacco taste that builds gently down the bowl. I don't get the ripe fruit but still find this blend quite good.

CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Creamy good.
The tin note and taste is of creamy chocolate. A bit on the wet side. The taste is very natural.

Mac Baren - The Solent Mixture 3.5oz
Solent Mixture
Pleasantly surprised, the tin note and taste has a red wine flavour. The latakia is light. Easy to smoke anytime.

Mac Baren - Mixture Scottish Blend
Scottish Mixture
I wouldn't consider this blend as aromatic but more a natural tobacco mixture. I taste the virginia and burley but the cavendish is barely visable. The taste is a light natural flavour. Nothing very original.

Lane Limited - RLP-6
RPL-6 Nice.
For me RPL-6 is like 1-Q, but with more flavour and depth. Easy smoke for anytime.

G. L. Pease - Gaslight 2oz
Free sample, pleasantly surprised.
I received a half ounce sample with my last order and was pleasantly surprised with this cube. I broke it up, rubbed it and enjoyed the full flavour of this Latakia blend.

Peter Stokkebye - PS402 Luxury Twist Flake
Virginia with a light sweet topping.
This is a very smooth soft Virginia with a light honeylike topping. Its mild, smokes clean and the sweetness makes it enjoyable.

Mac Baren - HH Highland 100g
Let it air out...
The scotch is very present on opening the tin. You can see alot of broken flake. Once aired out for awhile the scents mellow together. The lakakia is light and not overpowering. The flavour is pleasant and well balanced. I like many Mac Baren blends as they have their own twist.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Louisiana Flake
More Per than Va.
This blend has more Perique than Virginia. I find it too spicy for my taste. I will let it age, with the hope that it will mellow. There was a soapy taste that has gone away since I received my order, about two weeks ago. So if you're looking for a VaPer that is more on the Per side this one may be for you.

Mac Baren - HH Acadian Perique 3.5oz
Perique blend at its best.
My favorite perique blend. Smokes clean to the very end. The flavour and spice is just right.

CAO - Cherrybomb 50g
Nice, but no bomb.
I found the cherry vanilla was there in the tin note, but quite light on the taste. I wanted an in your face cherry, so I'll keep looking.

CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Tastes as good as the tin note.
A flavourful, sweet smoke. Great room scent and just as good on my tastebuds.

Samuel Gawith - Full Virginia Flake 250g
The infamous FVF
I'm finally going to finish the 250g box. It does taste better with aging, but I guess I just don't get it.

Erinmore - Erinmore Mixture 100g
Only if you like the flake.
If you like Erinmore flake, you should like this ribbon cut. It is alot sweeter and a bit milder. The flavour is a bit overdone. I would buy the flake again, but not the mixture.

Dunhill - Royal Yacht 50g
Very pleasant.
Not a big fan of staight virginia blends, but Royal Yacht has that Dunhill touch that makes it interesting all the way down a bowl.

Dunhill - Nightcap 50g
Fantastic with a single malt.
This is the only english blend that I must have with a single malt. They both seem to enhance each other.

Dunhill - Early Morning Pipe 50g
A nice smoke.
The name is quite fitting. Tastes like many other english blends with Latika. Not a Dunhill stand out like Nightcap, but nice mellow presentation.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
A new favorite.
I can see why this va/per is so popular. Flavourful, and easy to smoke. One of the few tobaccos that in my next order I'll be ordering a few tins.

Dunhill - Elizabethan Mixture 50g
Very average, nothing more.
I was expecting much more in this va/per from the reputable name of Dunhill. I found the flavour as bland. Finished the tin, but will not be ordering again. Many better choices available.

Peter Stokkebye - Mango
Mango
Not bad. It reminds me of a weak, very weak, Erinmore.

Sutliff - Z93 - Dark Decadence
Z93 - Dark Decadence
Was hoping for so much more, I must have got my 4oz from a bad batch, cause it is flavorless, dry and flat.

McClelland - VBC - Vanilla Black Cavendish
McClelland Bulk VBC - Vanilla Black Cavendish
Pleasent aroma and room note. The flavor is a very natural vanilla, not artificial nor overpowering. Burns clean and cool. A nice change of pace from the english blends.

Ashton - Guilty Pleasure 50g
Guilty Pleasure, oh well...
I only gave Guilty Pleasure 3 stars because I prefer my aromatics to be more flavorful. The tin note is really pleasant and the flavors are all there, sort of like a toned down Erinmore Flake, really toned down. The quality is visable, it packs well, no bite, a clean dry bowl when all is done, but it does burn very hot. With the reputation of Ashton I was hoping for more flavor with the pretty tin art. Based on this experience I won't be trying other Ashton blends, but no regrets that I did. I guess if you like the mildness of Ashton cigars you'll feel right at home with their pipe tobacco.

Erinmore - Erinmore Flake 50g
Erinmore Flake, pleasent and refreshing.
This blend is a nice transition between non aromatics and aromatics. The dark flakes of virginia and burley have just enough fruity flavor to add some zing. The taste is refreshing. The fruit topping doesn't overpower the tobacco. I got 13 perfect slices in a 50g tin. One slice rubbed out is all you need. No drying time and it stays lit. The tin note is much fruitier than the smoke, but the flavor is there.

Peter Stokkebye - PS403 Luxury Bullseye Flake
Luxury Bullseye Flake, oh yes!
I purchased this tobacco based on its looks, but keep coming back for the taste. The combination Va-Per and cavandish center is spot on. Sweetness and spice, but not overpowering. I can enjoy it anytime, alone, with a cup of coffee or with something a little stonger. I've tried folding over three discs, but find it at its best rubbed out. Great value seals the deal.

McClelland - Personal Reserve: Blackwoods Flake 50g
Blackwoods Flake, sorry I don't get it.
I was really looking forward to enjoying this tobacco after reading all the great reviews online and also based on the reputation of the brand. Opening the tin set my expectations high, the aroma was wonderful. It smokes cool and clean down to a light grey ash, but I just didn't and I still don't get any flavors. I tried it straight, rubbed out, snipped into little bits, let it dry out a bit, a lot, but nothing. I've gone through half the tin and I'm still searching for some taste. I'm going to let the rest of my tin age, hoping. With so many flavorful tobaccos available I won't become a Blackwoods Flake regular.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - Obsidian Pipe Stem Oil 18ml
Obsidian Pipe Stem Oil
This stuff is amazing! I've tried many other products but they aren't as easy to apply nor do they give the same results as Obsidian. Stems that are clean and that have had their oxidation removed turn jet black with minimal effort. I'm going to use this oil on my vintage ebonite and chased hard rubber fountain pens to bring them back to black.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - B. J. Long Regular Pipe Cleaners (56 pack)
B. J. Long Regular Pipe Cleaners
Hands down the best you can buy. The size is perfect for 3mm stems.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - B. J. Long Extra Fluffy Pipe Cleaners (32 pack)
B. J. Long Extra Fluffy Pipe Cleaners
I find these a bit too thick and fluffy to clean my regular 3mm pipes, but they are great for cleaning my 6mm and 9mm filtered pipes. I fold them over and use them like a reamer in the filter section of the pipe.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Just right.
I gave 1-Q a try because of the popular ratings, rankings and reviews, and I'm glad I did. The flavor has the right sweetness and the blend has some depth. The room note is light and loved by all, even the next day. Not your fancy, sophisticated tobacco but more of an old faithful.

Peter Stokkebye - Cherry Bon Bon
Light and pleasant.
I filled a large bowl pot with a light touch on the packing. At a slow pace it smoked cool and dry. With a name like Bon Bon I was expecting a heavy taste and aroma, but no, I was please that the flavor wasn't overly sweet and overpowering as with other cherry blends. The flavor and aroma is cherryish and the room note is light. The taste was pretty consistant down the bowl and the ash was thin and grey.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton 50g
Mild, too mild.
It smells great from the tin, but the flavor is pretty flat. Lots of white creamy smoke, just too mild for me.

Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Sweet, sweet, sweet.
It is like smoking a sweet vanilla, chocolate, exotic cake. If you got a sweet tooth, even if only once in awhile, this ones for you.

Sutliff - Bosphorus Cruise 1.5oz
Flavor and complexity.
Full flavor of the latakia with the coplexity of the oriental. Well rounded and more flavorful than Frog Morton.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Great anytime.
Very balanced, not sweet, but not overpowered from the latakia, very smooth.

Villiger - Mid-Day 50g
Almost a winner...
This aromatic is as described and easy to like. The room note is enjoyed by everyone, but the next day there is a lingering cigarette stench the wife can't stand. Great for puffing outside.
