McClelland - Balkan Blue 50g
You never forget your first
Wow...so glad I decided to go for a Balkan tobacco. It is all I explore these days and Blue Mountain started it all. I almost feel bad that I spent so much time with other types. The taste is full right out of the tin but very smooth and gratifying! I highly recommend this one even for beginners.

Hearth & Home - Larry's Blend 1.5oz
Not Bad!
Well as a fan of Balkan blends, I had to try Larry's blend...it is not a bad blend at all, for as much Latakia as it contains it is very well balanced and very smooth. However, there was no spark for me! Sadly, as much as I will enjoy smoking the rest of the tin I bought, this blend will not be included in my rotation.

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Not bad!
Not a bad blend, I gave it 4 stars only because it didn't do much for me as far as taste goes. Very well balanced and smooth but just no spark for me! I will for sure smoke up the tin I have but sadly this blend will not be going into my rotation.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Not Sure What Happened?!?!?
Well, this was a flake that I had to try as it is a staple brand for anyone into this. However, there was nothing here for me! Not a bad tobacco...just not good! At least not enough to make it into my regular rotation!

Erinmore - Erinmore Flake 50g
Not Sure What Happened?!?!?
Well, after so many reviews and this practically being a staple brand to try...I tried it! NOT saying it's bad, but not good either! It did not get me in any way, really sad as I was looking forward to really liking this!

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Second to Frog Morton is Frog Morton Cellar. Yes sir, this blend is not bad, not bad at all. Nice, sweet taste without any bitter or bite. Smooth all the way down the bowl!

McClelland - Premium Aromatic: Pal O' Mine 50g
It really does taste like a peach!
Ok so this is an aromatic that does what is says! I have tried many aromatics and most never taste nor smell like what the tin claims. Not a big fan of aromatics but you can't go wrong when the truth is written right on the tin! : )

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton Across the Pond 50g
Good Smoke
Not as good as Frog Morton BUT...not bad at all. A very enjoyable smoke and though it may not be a favorite must for me, I do plan on keeping a tin of it at all times!

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton 50g
Great Blend
Very smooth blend, wonderful aroma, cool smoke and a delicious flavor. As somewhat of a beginner still, I have been all over with as many blends as I can and this from the first bowl became a regular smoke!

McClelland - Ashton Revival: Old Dog 50g
Old Dog in 3 puffs
First puff you notice, it's a good English blend, second puff you know it's a REALLY GOOD English blend, third puff you realize...you're never leaving this old dog!

Lane Limited - HG-2000
Very Nice
NOT as good as LL7 but not bad at all...I gave it 4 stars only, based solely on taste! This blend is not as flavorful as an aromatic should be in my opinion, however it is smooth with no bite and enough flavor to indulge a piper as well as intrigue a beginner. I am finding that one thing you can depend on with Lane tobacco is good balance.

Lane Limited - LL-7
WOW
Simply put...this put Captain Black out of my usual smoke. It is now my regular smoke even though I am not a fan of aromatics! NOW this IS a tobacco that I would suggest to a beginner...SUPER smooth, very mellow, no overpowering room note, ZERO tongue bite no matter how aggressively you smoke and I DO smoke that way. It is just deliciously pleasant with just enough flavor to want you to have another bowl. And to think that if it wasn't for the good people of Smoking Pipes that included a sample with my last order, I NEVER would have tried this tobacco...now I have to try ALL the Lane, DARN!
