Had my first pipe in 1972 and recently returned to pipe smoking from a 10 yr layoff. Am finding all the "New" information available a tremendous help in finding tobaccos to try and fall in love with all over again.

Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
My Go To!
Those that know me know that I am always reaching for a tin of Presbyterian. I find it to be one of the best all round tobaccos. It satisfies each and every time I light up. While I do smoke others this is the one I have the most tin's cellared and when ordering permits will continue to be the one I will make sure is ordered. The flavor is rich, the smoke is full and the room note is pleasant to those around me. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend you do soon!
St. Bruno - Flake 1.75oz
Wonderful well rounded baccy!
Aye, as a member of several forums I read a lot bout the St Bruno both in flake and ready rubbed style. Being a flake me-self I tend to go fer the flake baccies mostly. Upon the arrival o this tobacco I had high expectations as to it's reputation being so elevated. I were not disappointed! Popping the tin brings much anticipation. The aroma be mild, but familiar wit out havin been in it's presence afore. 'as a nice bit o moisture to it, rubs out to a nice ribbon and bit o crumbles fer easy packing. From the charring lite to the final puff she holds fast to the flavour wit out nary a hint o tongue bite. Gives the smoker a nice light ash and no ashy taste. I let it dry each time and it rewards me e'ry time wit a nice even smoke! This be a highly recommended smoke to any pipeman wot wants to be reminded o some o the olde timey baccies made bout 40+ years ago. Treat Ye-self to a nice tin t'day! Ye be nae disappointed! And if Ye are then send it to me and I'll dispatch it proper fer Ye!!
Kohlhase & Kopp - Winter Edition 2015 100g
Sweet Sensation
This is my first Kohlhase & Kopp blend, but, won't be my last! The aroma is pleasant in the tin. A loose pack in the bowl lights quickly and stays lit. Does not bite and the room note is sweet. This smoke was very nice all the way through. I will have to try some of the other offerings from this blender.
Capstan - Flake Yellow 1.75oz
Wonderful Surprise
I was gifted a tin of this fine tobacco. At first blush it was tentative, and it built through the maiden bowl. Now, with half the tin gone, I will be ordering more as it has become a very consistent and reliable and pleasurable smoke. Tasty and flavorful. Smokes thoroughly and to a nice fine ash. Sweet and light! Should be a favorite for a long time to come.
Dan Tobacco - Old Ironsides 50g
Smooth & Flavorful
After having several nice bowls of this I find myself reaching for it more often. While very moist on first opening the tin, I let it dry for about 1/2 hour and it's ready. Strong and robust taste, that is both smooth and flavorful and very satisfying. I will be keeping this in the rotation from now on.
Carter Hall - Carter Hall 1.5oz Pouch
Smooth and Mellow
Just trying the CH blend for the first time and find it to be very pleasurable. The very first light gave me full flavor. The full tobacco taste comes through easily. Smokes clear to the bottom of the bowl with a nice fine grey ash. If you have not tried this blend before give it a shot and prepare to build upon memories of pipers past.
Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Sweet Mellow Smoke
The first time I tried this blend I thougt maybe I had made a mistake. I thought, you eat this kid of sweet treat. Now that I've had several bowls I can honestly say that if you like sweet, mild and mellow smokes, this is it! It needs to dry some before the first light, then you're in for a fine treat. Creamy and full of flavor. Only gave 4.5 due to the moisture in the blend. Needs to be drier to enjoy.
A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Great Smoke!!
I just tried my first Escudo and WOW what a smoke!! Had to follow it up with a second bowl just make sure. The room note is pleasant and has a good flavor. Got so excited I had a mild hot spot to the back of my throat but that was my doing and not the blend. I'll deffinately keep this in my regular rotation. Highly recommended to anyone looking to begin with a flake as it has some of the flake characteristics of other blends that are harder to master for newbies.
Lane Limited - LL-7
Sweet Pleasure
I bought my first sample last month to try this blend. WOW!! I have been looking for a blend that I can enjoy every time I light up. I have found it in LL7 from Lane Limited. The room note is very pleasant and will not overpower others with you in the room. If you are looking for a mild smoke then you owe it to yourself to get a sample size and decide for yourself. You will not be disappointed!
