Drucquer & Sons - The Devil's Own 100g
Delicious
@Alan thanks for the review. I thought I should mention that, according to Greg Pease, Drucquers tins were never vacuum packed. He states that the shop didn't have the facility to do it, nor did he ever see such a pump on site. As far as my review goes, I've tasted all the blends, and this is my third favorite, right behind Inns of Court and Blairgowrie (my favorite). The Devil's Own seems to feature more latakia than Inns of Court, though not as much as Blairgowrie—the components are well balanced, like everything else in the line, and it's a bit sweet, probably on account of the Virginias.

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop 2oz
More Nic Than Cope
Mark G., I've dipped Copenhagen Fine Cut many times; the stuff is generally regarded to be the strongest moist snuff out there, nicotine-wise. I still get way more of a punch from most pipe tobaccos, however, especially C&D blends like Haunted Bookshop which is just chock-full of burley.

G. L. Pease - Haddo's Delight 8oz
Hella good... with age
HA! Sykes got me started on this stuff last year in Chicago. I got spoiled on a ten year old tin. It's dark, rich, full-bodied, fragrant of plums and wine and of quality Virginia leaf. It's not my favorite when young, but it's worth stocking up on the stuff for one's cellar. Let it sit five or six years. You'll be rewarded.

Esoterica - Penzance 2oz
Super delicious, although over-hyped
Yes, it's hard to come by. But it's almost as good as it's reputation promises. Dark, full-flavored, slightly sweet, though savory, this is certainly the best Germain has to offer in their Esoterica line.

Butera - Kingfisher 2oz
My prefered VA/Per/Burley
I'm not crazy about Virginia-Perique blends, however, here, with the addition of a healthy dose of burley, Germain has got it right. Burns smooth and even with plenty of flavor; and I especially like that it's a mottled flake.

Germain - Brown Flake 50g
Best of its kind
Of all the straight, brown Virginia flakes out there, this is by far the best, in my opinion. I even like it better than SGs FVF. Too bad it's so difficult to come by!

Balkan Sobranie - Balkan Sobranie 50g
Good stuff
Is it as good as the original? Who knows for sure, really? But dried out some, this is a pretty terrific blend for a special occasion.
