Davidoff - Flake Medallions 50g
Better than other Cavendish centered blends
Comparing this to other "coins" with a Cavendish center like Bullseye Flake, Comoys, and Ropers from Dan, I like this one the best. It is smoother than Bullseye and Comoys Cask #7. It doesn't have the high price of Ropers Roundels nor the topping of that blend either. It does lose a star for the price but still worth keeping some in the cellar as it ages nicely.

Capstan - Ready Rubbed Yellow 1.75oz
Excellent
While I like the "blue" slightly more, this is also a 5 Star blend for the experienced pipe smoker. Burns clean with more high notes than the Blue." If you are an aromatic smoker (IE Frog Morton's Cellar), looking to cross over into Virginia's there are better starting points than this blend.

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding
Great Blend
I think this a great blend! Plumb Pudding has some added sweetness from either Cavendish or a topping, however I would NOT call it an aromatic by any stretch. It is also a great blend for English smokers that like a TAD bit sweeter English than Penzance, Ten Russians or Pirate Kake. The comments concerning keeping it lit I believe are related to the pipe smokers prep rather than to the blend itself as it is no more difficult to light than any other crumble cake, and I have smoked a lot of them. I don't find much of the pepper component either, although their is some perique in PP. Overall, this is a fine crumble cake that I would put at 4.5 stars, but considering the bulk price, it's 5 stars all the way!

Leo - Leo 50g
Don't let the price fool you
Don't let the low price fool you. This was a good blend when I smoked it at the Chicago show, and now that its tinned its even better. Not a lot of Latakia, but the other flavors more than fill the void. Leo will make a great blend to cellar and at this price...hey...its a no brainer!
