Home Fragrance - Lampe Berger Borneo Teak Wood 500ml
Great scent
A mild, not overpowering smell of exotic wood. I wish I was some world traveler that could pinpoint authentic teak wood, so I have to settle with "exotic". As an experienced chef, however, I do smell the cumin which is a mild secondary smell. I would recommend this.

G. L. Pease - Navigator 2oz
Sextant Light?
I will try almost anything Sir Pease puts out especially his rum-infused Navy blends. My first impression is that its a lighter version of Sextant. Its cut the same, has lighter blond tobacco in the mix, and doesn't have quite the punch of Sextant. I'm a fan of Sextant but I could easily see myself making the switch to this.

Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader 50g
Cool, all-day smoker
I tried this "sight-unseen" meaning I'd heard good things and that's about it. My first impression was how cool and light the smoke was. The flavor is very subtle and I tasted a very faint chestnut/hazelnut flavor. Very classy smoke and I will be back for more.

Home Fragrance - Lampe Berger Heavenly Spruce Oil 500ml
Smells like fir trees...duh
The scent is pretty mild which is always better than "punch in the face" strong. The scent is good but hardly "heavenly". I don't regret this purchase at all, but also won't be buying it again.

Tampers & Tools - Rubber Pipe Bits (2 pack)
Removed this in under 7 days
I don't give tobacco bad reviews because I'm always open to individual tastes. My trash is your treasure. This product on the other hand I'm cautioning you against but at around $1 it could be argued "you make the call". This product smells and TASTES like new bike tire inner-tube and left a bad rubber aftertaste in my mouth. I found myself spitting the taste out after almost every pull.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 100g
6 Stars...its THAT good
Holy moly....any Frog Morton fan will be blown away by this one. I recommend buying as much as your bank account will allow of this blend. True to the name you will want to have a reserve your cellar. The whiskey flavor is sweet to the taste and the room note is impressive. How good do I think it really is? Instead of fawning over Balkan Sobranie like boy scouts talking about Megan Fox, I suggest buying something that is actually available to you right now....THIS.

G. L. Pease - Lagonda 2oz
Another Pease homerun
I liked Odessey but soon became bored with it. No real complexity. Lagonda is very similar to Odessey but definitely has that missing complexity. Highly recommended for latakia/oriental lovers.

McClelland - Ashton Revival: Old Dog 50g
Mild all-day smoker
There's nothing really over the top about this blend. It just has a mellow, pleasant, cool smoking quality. Recommended for Frog Morton smokers looking for a something a little different but in the same category of blends.

G. L. Pease - Maltese Falcon 2oz
A distinguished tobacco
When I first opened a tin of Maltese Falcon I was not very impressed with the smell. It came somewhat damp like all Pease blends tend to be, so I let a pinch dry out for a few hours until it was smokable. Like the initial smell I was not impressed. I let this tin sit on the shelf for a while and came back to it. Now I'm impressed. The flavor is very subtle yet distinguished. The second half of the bowl is thick and almost creamy. Very earthy with a leathery taste. A great smoke, but like I said its subtle. No over the top flavors here. Highly recommended.

Stands & Pouches - Tobacco Pouch Humidifier
keeps tobacco moist
great little humidifier that is ridiculously easy to use. Great for keeping larger tins/jars moist.

Tampers & Tools - Brigham Pipe Reamer
great tool
perfect for scraping off excess cake without scarring the wall of your bowl

Tampers & Tools - Czech Pipe Tool
Required for pipe maitenance
I don´t take my pipe anywhere without this tool and can´t imagine not owning it. It does a fantastic job and the price is right.

G. L. Pease - Sextant 2oz
Yarrr!!!!
This is a great navy blend with just enough punch to satisfy a salty dog. Very pleasurable to puff on and no girly-man flavorings. This has entered my rotation. The Virginias really shine. A great companion to an aged single-malt or barrel-aged Jamaican rum.

G. L. Pease - Odyssey 2oz
A new favorite
I've been sampling a lot of tobaccos with the goal of having a rotation of a handful of personal stand-outs. This has entered the rotation. Some "experts" may poo-poo the liberal use of a "condiment tobacco" but brass-tax is that this blend is distinctive and pleasurable. Well played, Mr. Pease.

G. L. Pease - Westminster 2oz
Pease hits a homerun
I absolutely love this blend and will definitely cellar some. Tastes like it would only get better with time. This blend is as British as a Union Jack. Tastes and smells like an aristocrat's study. A must-try for any English blend fan.

G. L. Pease - Key Largo 2oz
One for the cellar
Some blends are good for cellaring and Key Largo practically demands it. There is cigar leaf in the mix and it is pretty noticable (like a punch in face). This would be a great blend for a cigar smoker who wants to switch things up a little bit. I plan to buy an 8oz tin and not touching it for ten years. Highly recommended but not if you plan on smoking it anytime soon.

McClelland - Townsman Cavendish: Silver (Rum) 8oz
great all-day smoking blend
This blend has a light taste and is a good everyday smoker. When I opened the bag I smelled rum (of course), chocolate, and raisin (reminded me of Raisinettes). Burns evenly and cool with a slightly above average room note. Not a fan of the packaging however....the kind of bag that progressively becomes a mess to deal with.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton on the Town 100g
One of my favorites
I'm pretty new to pipe smoking so when I first started buying tobacco I looked to the best seller list on this website. I tried a few of the best sellers and although not unhappy I was also not impressed. Then I bought a tin of this. "I REALLY like this!" I told my girlfriend one day while smoking. The flavor is great as well as the room note. This blend was responsible for me discovering that I am an oriental tobacco guy. A great place to start for the novice like myself.

G. L. Pease - Ashbury 8oz
True to product description
This is one of my favorite Pease blends. A very distinctive taste and smell. The only downside was the tin I received was cut pretty rough...a few "twigs" to remove. The smell and taste makes me think of someone puffing while listening to Jack Kerouac reading in the City Lights Bookstore or maybe a jazz-cat in a dark SF nightclub. I plan on smoking this while in the great outdoors....contemplative thought while surrounded by douglas firs. Highly recommended.
