Low Country - Guendalose 2oz
Cigar Forward?
I am not a cigar smoker. However, I found this tobacco pleasant, both in taste and a tolerable room note. Burns easily and not bite unless pushed. Nicotine is on the high side. Even if one is not into to cigars, this tobacco is worth a try.

Cornell & Diehl - Comfort 2oz
Smooth All Day
Comfort is a mild, all day smoke. Easy to pack and stays lit for a long slow smoke. The flavors blend and, for me, it is the mildest VaPer I have found. If you like VaPer try it.

Mac Baren - Burley: London Blend 3.5oz
Top Hat Burley
The first tobacco I enjoyed as a young pipe smoker was Sir Walter Raleigh. I enjoyed the burley taste with the chocolate overtones. When I saw this Mac Baren Burley blend I was intrigued. If you enjoy burley you will enjoy this tobacco. I would say it is a burley in the fashion of Sir Walter Raleigh, but dressed in top hat, white tie and tails.

Capstan - Ready Rubbed Yellow 1.75oz
Good Virginia
Recently in the Sunday newsletter there was an article about try something a second time. That was my experience with Capstan Yellow. The first bowl full seemed a bit harsh, so it went on the shelf. Later, and with it dried a bit, I tried it with a different briar. I am glad I gave it a second try. The flavor is heavier bodied than HH Pure Virginia, but it is a satisfying and pleasant the second and subsequent times in the bowl. Definitely in my rotation with other Virginia's now.

Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader Special Edition with Perique 50g
English, but tamed a bit
A truly English blend. The Perique adds a note of balance. Great taste, but I have been relegated to the patio or the workshop when it is in the bowl because the room note does not please my wife. I will just spend more time in my workshop with Squadron Leader.

Comoy's - Cask No.4
Periique Comes Through
I enjoy Peter Stokkebye's Luxury Twist Flake as well as His Navy Flake. Comoys Cask 4 has a deeper flavor profile than the Navy Flake. The peppery Perique comes through---not in an overwhelming fashion but as a gentle reminder that it is there. Comoy's Cask 4 has found a place in my rotation.
