Samuel Gawith - Full Virginia Flake 50g
I Continue To Not Get It
Perhaps it's because I'm a relatively new smoker or I'm just into blends, but this has too much of a cigarette taste to me. Followed others' advice about drying it out more and different packing methods, but to no avail. Even makes me a little sick while smoking (Sacrilege?). Sorry....guess I'm just a Frog Morton kind of guy.
Sutliff - 208 Apple
This used to be pretty good...
for a drugstore brand. It even looks different now, so I assume Altadis changed the mix when they bought the Middleton name. No apple taste at all, burns hot with a terrible chemical taste. Shame.
Peterson - University Flake 50g
Not for me...
Got it free with my new Peterson XL22 Green Spigot (Very nice!) However, this blend tasted like a cigarette to me. Wife did not approve either.

In a League All Its Own
David G. is spot on! I say that all the Frogs are unique and should have a place in every piper's rotation. Cellar, however, goes above anything else. After the first bowl, I realized I should have ordered the 100g! No doubt I will be dedicating a new briar specifically for Frog Morton Cellar. Smokingpipes.com is THE place for tobacco.
