Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
Bitey and Unpleasant
This tobacco needs to be smoked incredibly slowly. Any amount of puffing and the taste becomes incredibly unpleasant. If you can control yourself to puff no more than once every 20-30 seconds it's an alright vanilla taste, though bland. Otherwise it's not very good.

Bland but not unpleasant
If you need a wonderful smelling tobacco with little flavour, this is for you. The aroma in the pouch is decadent. But when smoked it's very bland. I'll finish what I have, but I won't be re-ordering.
Lane Limited - 1-Q
Not my favourite.
I realize that my experience with 1Q is by far the exception to the rule. However, I've tried this tobacco in a number of pipes on a number of occasions and I simply don't enjoy it at all. I found it to have a sour smoky flavor, I couldn't detect the flavor at all. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what happened, but I will not order again. Don't let this scare you, but be aware that it's not everybody's favourite.

Smooth, cool, great!
Taking up pipe smoking after a few years of cigar/cigarillo smoking, this was my first try at pipe tobacco. I really enjoyed it. It gave a very smooth cool smoke. I tried it on a blustery Canadian day, and my matches wouldn't stay lit. Once I got it going it smoked nicely all the way down, which surprised me. It was no skill on my part, the blend just smokes nicely. I will definitely be reviting this smoke, though I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for in a pipe I definitely enjoyed it.
