Ashton - VSG Robusto
Really enjoyed!
Earthy woodsy start. Full billowy smoke with an excellent draw. Took the ash all the way to the label before it fell off. I really enjoyed this stick.

Balkan Sobranie - Balkan Sobranie 50g
Smokey Strong
The king of balkans! Is it worth 100.00 a tin, no. But is it good, absolutely. It’s tangy,Smokey and sweet at the same time. Don’t pass up the chance to try this.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Rich Smokey Strong
I would rather smoke this than Balkan sobranie because the flavor is fantastic, rich and Smokey just like sobranie but it’s easy to find and reasonably priced. This stuff is great!

Dunhill - Early Morning Pipe 50g
Too weak
The tin art on this is very attractive and being a dunhill it’s a classic. They’re going for light, easy and smooth and boy did they succeed. It’s so light I feel like I’m just smoking air. It’s great to recommend to someone getting into English blends but it’s just to light in flavor for me.

Dunhill - My Mixture 965 50g
Smooth and full
Rich smokey Latakia is smoothed out by the cavendish sweetness. Smoke this slowly and it’ll reward you with flavor. This is a classic blend and a benchmark of the Scottish style.

Cornell & Diehl - Kajun Kake 2oz
Spicy and rich
Cornell and Diehl Kajun Kake is listed to have Red Virginia’s and Louisiana Perique. Right out of the tin it’s a pressed crumble cake which I like to cut slices off and rubs out very easily. You have to be careful to not pack it to finely or the draw will be much to tight. The tin note was hard to pick apart for me. Ultimately I settled on a rich dark Virginia smell. Others said they smelled candied cherries and sea water. I didn’t get that at all and sounded disgusting. In fact upon first light I tasted a heavy pepper flavor at first that eventually gave away to a smoother Virginia taste hinting at sweet. Throughout the bowl there was a heavy almost acrid flavor which I typically associate with cigar leaf. I also found that when I sipped slowly there was a bitterness on my tongue and when I sped up my cadence I got a more VaPer sweet flavor. There were familiar flavors in here that at times that made me think of this as escudo combined with Billy Bud or maybe Fillmore. Overall I liked it and wonder what it’ll be like with some age on it.

Cornell & Diehl - Bow-Legged Bear 2oz
Strong Dark Rich
I couldn’t believe how strong this hit me in the nicotine Dept. I had a full stomach and I’m not anywhere new but my head was spinning 3/4 through the bowl. Weird. The flavor was strong and rich. Reminded me vaguely of pirate kake in how it’s rich and dark. A slight sweetness peeks forward every now and then especially when I got it hot.

G. L. Pease - Temple Bar 2oz
Excellent! A Favorite
This blend competes for my number 1 favorite along with escudo. When you open a tin you’re greeted by a familiar raisin’y plum smell common in VaPer blends. It comes in a loose leaf plug. I recommend slicing it thin rather than rubbing it out as it would tend to be larger chunks otherwise. The taste is a rich peppery perique with an occasional sweetness from the Virginia’s and orientals. I noticed that when it’s hot it’s sweet and when you sip it slow you get more of a perique influence.

Dunhill - London Mixture 50g
Tangy great
This was my first favorite. I went back to it over and over again. Smells like a tangy leather earthy smell. Smoking it was tangy not unsweet but Smokey campfire. It grew on me with each successive bowl.

Peterson - 3 P's Peterson's Perfect Plug 50g
Intensity of flavors
Very similar to royal yacht. Sweet Virginia’s with a fig plum flavor. Didn’t taste heavily cased like an aromatic to me but I’m sure it’s topped. Being a plug you get that ability to prepare it the way you like so experiment with different combinations. Intense combinations of flavors because it’s pressed. Can be very strong in nicotine also.

Stands & Pouches - Tobacco Pouch Humidifier
Great Tool
I put tobacco in mason jars and when it’s moisture is to dry I put one of these guys in the jar to bring it back to life.

Tampers & Tools - Tobacco Pipe Wind Cap
Double Agent
Not only does this guy help in the wind but I use it the most to pack a pipe and use it as a cap to keep my pipe ready to go in my pouch.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - B. J. Long Pipe Cleaners - Regular (56 pack)
Critical to be clean
Sips up moisture and cleans the gunk. I use two to three of these after every smoke. I start down the stem then flip it and go back a second time. Then I fold it in half and swab the bowl. I have 20 year old pipes that are prestine condition because of these cleaners. This back is the best value vs quantity.

Lighters - Peterson Pipe Lighter - Grey
Perfect Companion
Perfectly reliable soft flame in an elegant package. The size and shape fits perfectly in the lighter section of my pouch and requires minimal cleaning as maintenance. Easy to refill butane is odorless and tasteless. Flints are simple to replace and last months and months. The only draw back is wind and the cost. I found no other lighter that could cut it in the wind, not even a zippo and zippos smell and taint the taste. I figured with the cost that it was an investment and that I would rather buy the perfect solution once using it for years and years over buying an it kinda works solution 100 times.

A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
King of them all!
Escudo is wheaty yeasty bready with slight pepper richness and a gentle touch of sweet from the Virginia’s. It’s smooth and flavor packed. It’s light enough to smoke all day but flavor enticing enough to feel satisfied. It’s my favorite but don’t buy it all because I love it. Enjoy

Pipe Tools & Supplies - Rockwell Binge Pipe Tool
Versatile
This is the Swiss Army knife of pipe tampers. It offers the tamper, bottle opener, corkscrew, reamer and a poking tool. It’s a perfect tool. The only thing that you need to do to it is make sure that the screws stay screwed in tight as they do get loose overtime. If you weren’t paying attention you could lose them.

Stands & Pouches - Antique Brown Folding 1 Pipe Pouch
Fantastic pouch
I’ve been using mine for a year now and it’s sturdy, rustic and a great price. Fits everything I need and smells of beautiful leather. I’m thinking of buying another one for the future.

Samuel Gawith - Black XX Rope 50g
Burnt wire
Love the Tin art, the rope presentation and the tin note. In fact it reminded my of the smell of old dark fired from macbarren which I love. Once xx is lit up I got a flavor of burnt wires and dirt mixed with burning hair. It was horrible. I haven’t dumped a bowl of anything out in ten years until this. On another note smoking pipes company service is exemplary.
