Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Glengarry Flake
Not great, not bad
Very nice looking flake. Rubs out well and smokes like a flake should. Starts out with an odd soapy aroma that quickly disappears turning into a fairly nice light to medium bodied smoke. Enjoyable but not something I would order again. Missed the honey thang. Wasn’t there. Rating says 4.5 but my finger slipped and can’t change it. 2.5 for me.

Was excited to try this blend based on the reviews. IMHO, it was fairly bland and non descript. Not spicy in an Antico Toscanni way. Maybe give it a few months of down time and see what it's like then. Disappointing.

Cherry, Cherry?
If you're looking for cherry you're in the wrong place. G&H tobacco has never been an 'in your face' type of blend. I smoked a bowl of this tonight and I must say that it had more tobacco taste than cherry. From working in the industry, I knew what to expect and G&H did not let me down. Is this a sweet blend? Hell no. Is it aromatic? Yes, in a very subtle sense. I liked this. Would I smoke it everyday? Nope. If you're an aromatic smoker looking to branch out a bit and try some 'real' tobacco (I mean that in the nicest way) then give this one a go. You may like it as well as your spouse (if you have one) If you don't have one, then go ahead. (I'm channeling Yogi Berra tonight) M
G. L. Pease - The Virginia Cream 2oz

I've been a fan of Pease blends for as long as I can remember. Working in the cigar/tobacco industry has introduced me to many people that shun GLP tobacco. I think it's more jealousy than anything. That said, I cracked open a tin of VC last night. I am not a fan of 'in your face' aromatics and this does not fall into that category. Bourbon/Vanilla? Yup. Does it dominate the blend? Absolutely not. Totally enjoyable and my wife liked the aroma as well, not that that's a dealbreaker. This is a real nice tobacco for anyone that likes a nice quality tobacco. And it lit up like a champ. I've already ordered more. It won't be here forever so just get some and thank me later. MMM
