A MOST WONDERFUL SMOKE FOR OVER 200 years!
I’m ashamed to admit that I was intimidated from trying this blend because of negative reviews that were all wrong! If you love aeromatics believe me you will LOVE this tobacco! The negative reviewers that deride this fine blend should go back to smoking generic cigarettes. Don’t listen to them. They’re just wrong. This is a wonderful pipe Tobacco unlike anything I’ve ever tried! From the first puff to last the flavor is consistent, aroma complimented by all, flavorful beyond description! Please give this a try, you just might find your new best friend. I have!

Captain Black - Original 7oz
TASTELESS CRUD!
This has been my favorite pipe Tobacco (next to Amphora) since 1975. The tin aroma, the sweet flavor of Carmel and coco and vanilla from start to finish…GONE! Where’s the flavor? And why?? Why ruin this great pipe tobacco? Now it’s just hot smoke! My wife and son can’t smell anything when I light-up! And they’re smokers and loved the Captain! Glad I bought some Villager new world! It’s like Mac Baron took all the flavor from the Captain gave it to the Villiger! I think I’ll move from the Captain’s row boat to the village.

I bought two packs of Villager and two tins of the Captain and the Captain looses big time! Where did the flavor go? Villager is the aromatic the Captain used to be! Coco, Vanilla and a little Carmel on the side! Not overdone, done perfectly! For aromatic lovers only! Can’t beat the price! Buy this!!

OMG IT’S GOOD!!
I’m an aromatic smoker and for about the last couple of years I’ve noticed a lot of my past favorites have become almost flavorless imitations of what they once were. But I was pleasantly surprised with this blend! Mellow warm black cherry flavor and I notice a coco back. On my second pouch of a 1 pound bag with every puff as good as the first. Try it! If you’re an aromatic lover you’re bound to love this one!

Best Cherry Made!!
I finished one tin of this tobacco in three days flat. I could not put it down! Consistently good from the start to finish. My last bowl of this, that I’m smoking now is as flavorful as the first. I’m an aromatic lover and I’ve been trying to find something to smoke that tasted like it was advertised to. I’ve had several bags of other aromatics just to find myself from start to finish smoking something that was nothing more than hot air. I don’t know if I was getting old and tobacco, or they’re just cutting back on the flavoring to increase profits , but this tobacco didn’t cut corners on anything every puff was cherry front chocolate back. I honestly love the stuff. I strongly urge you that if you have been having a bad experience with aromatics not fulfilling your expectations, buy a tim of this! This coming payday if there’s still any of it left, I’m buying more! A lot more!

Paladin - Black Cherry 1.5oz
Best Cherry Blend Yet!
I am not someone who’s ever liked cherry blends, in fact the only cherry plan I ever tried was Middleton‘s and I hated it. That was in 1970. Paladin is the first cherry but I’ve tried since then and I love it! It has a rich dark cherry flavor, I noticed some cocoa in the back, it burns perfectly and as long as you don’t locomotive it and sip on it and do mild puffs you’ll get all the flavor and none of the bite. I ordered two pouches to try it out before I bought a can and it arrived fresh, properly hydrated, well packaged , smells great in the package and even better out of the pipe. For all those people who hate cherry blends, skip it! For people who do like to try cherry blends you’ve got to try this one! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised from the black cherry flavoring at the start and a cherry cocoa flavor at the bottom which I think comes from the Burly, You won’t be disappointed in this aromatic!

A Customer Service Rep at Smoking Pipes told me Mixture #79 is one of their most popular and best selling pipe tobaccos in their history! A little more research showed it’s been one of the most popular nationwide since it first came out in 1933! Why? Because it’s one of the best tasting and smelling aromatics to a majority of pipe smokers since it’s release!! I love it and started keeping it in my rotation since 1974. I began smoking it and nothing else since 1976 and never looked back! I found my best friend for my best friend! Mixture #79! The multiple flavors that rotate through smoking a bowl never tires, always taste fresh, leaving me wanting another bowl as soon as I finish the last! Sure, I’ve tried English, Balkans, and their many clones; most sour tasting weed as soaked in pig urine and over priced. No wonder one of the most popular blends in England is Carter Hall. My favorite is Sutliff Mixture #79! Sweet, never a bite, multiple flavors melding in and out. Ignore the snobs! Try #79 and if you like/love it enjoy! If not, then you’ll know! Oh! Captain Black - Original 12oz
No flavor No aroma
The Captain Black of old is gone, a waste of money. I smoked the entire can chasing the hope of a hint of flavor and found none. Goodbye Captain, you aren’t the boatload of flavor you used to be. Mac Baren 7 Seas Regular is the friend of my friend (my pipe) now!

Sutliff - Z50 Black Cordial
Glad I tried it.
I’ve hated cherry blends since 1971 when I first tried Middleton’s Cherry Blend; the most Fire-in-mouth pipe Tobacco ever made! The definition of Goopy, too. Could never take me away from Sutliff Mixture #79. But I think this cherry is the one for everyone who’s had a bad experience with all the others. It’s good stuff. ‘Nuff said.

Good Basic Black Cav!
Mild, never bite, very-very mild warm flavor. Good all day smoke you never feel you need to think about. Good blender with “troublesome” blends. I’d definitely mix with a blend that bites, like a red cherry blend...which I haven’t smoked since 1972. A good smoke. No more, no less!

Borkum Riff - Cherry Cavendish 1.5oz
Just Not Good.
There’s a little bit of cherry but mostly it bites...a lot. Won’t buy again, lastly; overpriced for what it is. Super Value cherry is better!

Amphora - Full Aroma 1.75oz
My First Love In 1970!
Bought my first pipe (Kaywoodie!) and my first pipe Tobacco, Amphora full Aroma, and joined my Dad, Grandpa and two Uncles as one of the family pipe smokers! Purchased at the Ft. Lee P/X in January ‘70! I was mad as hell when this blend left the country but I moved on as did the rest of us, and cheered its return like most of us! I still love my Amphora full aroma and to the best of my memory it hasn’t changed much if at all! All I can tell you is this is the original!

Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Excellent Desert Tobacco!
If you’re an Aromatic lover like I am this is the best one out there! It will be at least in your top 3 Aromatics! I can never get enough and don’t care! I will always want more! After this is Crem Brûlée, it’s that good!
