Cornell & Diehl - After Hours Flake 2oz
Honest Virginia
I could barely detect the rum in this blend. It starts out as an honest Virginia (broken) flake, with the sweetness of the rum coming in late. I found it to burn fairly hot, and I had to slow my cadence way down. This required more frequent relights. I found this blend to have a slightly peppery quality, almost as if there was a touch of Perique included. I may add a few drops of one of my own favorite rums to bring the flavor out a little bit more. Basically, this is an honest navy style Virginia with no frills, that makes a nice evening smoke.
